  1. Evidently you shouldna have anything to worry about if your Heims are quality. http://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com/catalog/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=ruffstuff&Product_Code=HORIZ4LK&Category_Code=LNKBrackets Cheers
  2. It'll never work.your dumb you ************in hillbilly....
  3. If you genuinely needed to hear everything Josh said then you probably have no business Tackling this job. Get a pro ,or at least a hardcore hobbiest to help out......
  4. Micks brat has some cut and reweld pics. I have cut several Bodies apart and think that patching in about 12guage is possible Without using flux core. If you find yourself having to use a flux Core only then make sure you pay attention to your heat settings....

I have made a few pieces. Some live on, some don't. There are pics floating around all over this board.Especiall in the bumper thread.I think there might even be a rollbar thread. cheers:drunk:
  6. The only way to make one of those options work is to make a bumper mount swing out.Baccaruda wanted one.We got mounts from a Pathfinder I believe. In the end the easiest way to do it is to fabricate it with a swing mount kit. He and I could not agree on design.seeing as how he saw it one way in his head with an engineers lookout, and I saw it from a bare bones fabrication workability point of view.It is not a good idea to try and mount that setup to your body.Even if you add sheetmetal to the inside as a backing plate it will add stresses at the edges of the backing plate. In turn ripping the existing sheet metal . Make a simple flat bumper, and buy the kit.Or do your homework and make a kit from everday items. It is possible to use SOME of the mounts from either the Rodeo,Pathfinder , or even Blazers.************, almost every 80's van had a mount too......those were hard mount i guess though....but whatever, parts is parts..... cheers
  7. I grabbed a couple of Cadillac air ride compressors a while back. They seem to put out alot of air.For all I know I may have already posted that LOL:horse:
  8. Drop the front crossmember itself with a jack below it.Then install blocks. After that drop one strut at at time to install those spacers.Utilizing small subaru jacks at multiple pick points is a must when installing a lift ..... rear , same thing. Some bolts will need to be looser than others. It all really depends on how much you losen some to others.Every single one of these cars I have come across is different(especially true to same models ) some are tweaked one way, some others, you just have to make ************ fit some times. If that means squezzing a bolt into a tight spot then tap it with a hammerr.Just be catious of thread damage. If that means, lift something higher than somehting else, just make surre you watch your rump roast, or have someone that can:cars can fall.It sucks.BAD..... But most of all, cross threading fine thread metric bolts is easy, if not idiot proof.Don't be an idiot.Use your fingers for sure purchase.Otherwise ************ gets serious. LOL Just pay attention....
  9. Just a suggestion, but you should e able to get about 30*ish out of those heims with misalignment spacers.I would think tire scrub would be the enemy at that point. cheers
  10. I get your point wood,,,,,, The way to take care of the load is to mount them verticaly .That way the cups are being loaded properly...........Those heims are more than capable of getting the job done Otherwise....it WILL work as long as no jumping gets done:drunk:.But I don't think thats possible Wouldna be to hard to just adda couple of tabs/w gusset to mount it vertically now.I mean you are still building......Just sayin cheers
  11. Piss off ;)I'll be towing her down;)-
  12. Evans, whatddya say Jeffrey?Lets invite the orwygon boys to come up so we can all sit down in our element and drink and fight?:lol:Mikie, you gotsta be the liason:drunk: Our proverbial element. The offroo'd. I would like too see a bunch of cats this year. With such a central location noone has an excuse LOL, right I know , i know more than most.life has its ************. But I would really like to meet a few guys I refuse to at the show.Like really meet them. And drive ***************es, DRIVE........It would be fun to have a whole ************ ton of us. cheers

The dash is exactly the same as the other dash.EXACTLY.And when you remove them properly , they do not get beat up.Take and remove your glove box door, a ton of room back there.TONS really..... Using an ammo can inside the engine bay may have been done before, but in my opinion , kinda dumb. Its still the engine bay people. The cabin is less likely to be penetrated by water, and has more ability to house alot more relay/electrical/sensitive stuff in a safer manner. cheers
  14. I use a Speedglass, and weld ALOT... My brother welds more, and he wears a Speedglass..... My buddy welds more than the both of us, he uses a Speedglass. For the price, quality , and selection from Speedglass(views, sizes, etc.) I would go with them.My next hood will be another Speedglass, albeit another model, but Speedglass non ethe less. I have been rocking mine for about 4 yrs now, started using it professionally last summer and have found that I really appreciate the 3 sensitivity settings it has for a basic model and Shade settings from 8-12. It is an older model now, but pretty sure even with an Ironworkers discount it was almost 2 bills. cheers
  15. Jesse just knows how to drive.:drunk:And Its about time you used that winch. Sorry I missed it. Cheers
  16. It depends on where we go.Whaddya think this year?Evans again?cheers?
  17. I seriously bought the cheapest set of links I found on fleEbay.I had original intentions of only using them for a couple pf months, but they are actually pretty strong. And quiet. It seems to me that they are cosmetically damaged goods from a decent manufacture. cheers And just FYI, I have straight blocks that did NOT clear the body.had to bash.....I was able to get my car aligned by a Subaru tech at Hanson Subaru here locally that use to work on rally cars ,He was able to do my alignment with just the links , and camber bolts.Said it worked out fine.
  18. I removed my "custom " ones, due to heim noise. The blue ones are doin good.No noise, plenty of room for adjustment. cheers, b
  19. i have a layout I like already.Been trying to make time to do it.Hopefully it happens soon.:lol:cheers

  22. Been workin on the wet side for the last couple of months. Waiting for the "your permanently hired" talk, sos we can move over here. Then it is on!!! I can't wait.
  23. I drilled out a set on a 100 dollar drill press once........just sayin....... The backs werena flat, the studs were pulled true onto a rim , and maybe welded.Pretty sure they are still being used. cheers
  24. :banghead:Out, gotta work.maybe March?cheers Yeah Skylar, my *************** still hurts about having to get wet. I ************ing told Jesse that I was not gonna do water, and still ************ing followed him through. To fast.Damnit........... Have fun guys.
