distraction's
prep prep prep. That welder will do fine if the welder behind it will take more time to learn how to manipulate the puddle. More heat , less speed until you get the hang of it. Just because it doesna have gas doesna mean it sucks. I Welded a codswallop ton of stuff with flux core before I got a bottle. I have a Lincoln promig 140 . Flux core is actually hotter wire than solid wire. Taking your time can really help. If you really want to buy something from Harbor Freight , then I suggest a welding helmet that you don't have to fight. holding the lens type is really unhelpful. you need to be able to support your hand and get proper positioning , and movement. cheers

77 4wd wagon "trophy truck style"
Yep , Start with something else. After all the money you spend trying to make it work. It still won't. Unless you have a fab shop, or tons of cash that is.

yeah, I already did the math on what I need/want. The roundeye 27w are for my head lights(spot 30degree , 1980 lumens each). I Already have them, I paid the price in your link for a 4 pack . I also already have the interior, and bed light. I have some other stuff coming already for auxillary lighting. Deal of the century. But I will wait till it arrives to showcase it. Lets just say 24000 lumens. cheers

SJR 4" Lift kit for 1999 Outback
I have seen a couple of bent lifts from Scott. If you are going to rock it on the road almost ALL of the time. Then go with it. If not, and you feel more inclined to move around off the road and deep into the woods to grandmothers house we go, then build it. Or see Dan at High Guys lifts. cheeers

So, picked up a HO alternator from ACE alternators. I also picked up a new 200 amp battery isolator. Two batteries AND an isolator. This 12 volt system should turn out great. And I have some round 27w LED. lights coming to match the grille I have. Hopefully I can pick up a single round light grille also , that way I can see what will look better. Either way I will have the lights to fit. Pics later. cheers

I made the adjustment bracket out of the mercedes bracket , and my own mount added onto the stock(slightly modified) A/C bracket. THINK I have the tensioner finally figured out for the power steering pump. will finish the slot on that bracket tomorrow. oh yeah, It has belts on it. cheers

No idea on the pressure of an existing unit. The unit I am using , that you see above is , an aftermarket Toyota unit sold by trail gear. This happens to be the 1650PSI unit. I will eventually put the hydro-assist ram on. I have it, I am just trying to get this thing useable before I install it. Get some kinks worked out, ya know. I bought the entire kit, used. Well, except the ram. SO I couldn't tell ya what just the pump would cost right of hand. This bracket I found off an Mercedes v8 at the yard. It has a star wheel bolt for adjustment at the bottom rear of this orientation. Should work out pretty cool. Are those wires? Also , I mounted a starter, started the redo of the electrical box due to size constraints, and have the tensioner options laying on the bench for a brainstorming session. I might be in need of a 2 prong Alternator plug if anyone has one. I can't seem to find the one I already cut for this. On to the battery and radiator mounts here real soon. the list is getting smaller!! cheers

boxing in EA82 control arms
The point is, you need more experience to tell you where your weak spots are. People break axles in different spots all the time. Not everyone is going to break/bend the control arm in the same spot. Beefing up to much moves your fuse from one spot to the next. Period.
