  8. if you need any help bri, just call.we have to schedule time, but it can be done ya'know.:)i would go ej if i were you though.same amount of wiring basically.and you can do it in steps. we can go to pull and save and get the wiring harness.its like 20 bucks.it just takes like 2 hours to pull.then you can cut it up while your trying to find an engine. etc...anyways. cheers, brian

  14. heres mine running a carb... cheers, brian
  15. and cat flap, all you have to do with the inners for the 510 axles is bolt them onto the r160 diff, then bolt on there axles. mick, i do not think that we are to worried about how our rigs look, albeit that we want them to look more odd than not..... scott, with some reinforcement, the rear solid axle setup is an easy go.especially with your crazy rump roast fab skills. kens brat is solid outback, and it worked out well.cheers, brian
  16. i was thinkin a smaller sump, and an oil cooler could go a long way. the fittings for the oil cooler are already there.............
  17. agreed, you can always get the money out of the Toy........not the wagon.so right on! you can always do a solid axle swap on that yota too.........just food for thought..... cheers, brian
  18. soobiedoo,in my mind i saw transfercase..............not diff. and mick,if you move the entire axle forward,do you think this would eliminate clearance issues....?cheers, brian and, when i was looking into the custom 510 axles, they are not as available as you would think.those guys are like us.they get as many as they can from the junkyards, and such and hang on to them.i have some killer resources up here as far as yards go and when i was looking around for about a year, i came across one set......and it was in the process of being removed.the guy said what i just did, basically. but my custom rear axles are coming soon.i have not abandoned them.just waiting on the machining to get done.free is free ya know. i agree with mikey,i will thinking zuke axles as soon as i figure out what config i want the hatch body in.........:)cheers, brian
  19. umm, the 720 diff has been used by at least 5 people that i know of,and successfully at that.where did you do your research soobie doo?cheers, rbain
  20. bad rump roast noah.thanks for bein there. my fav.... love that shot........cheers, brian
  21. simple. the carb is up to you.there are places to buy the manifolds, or you can make one. the distys are a stocked part by napa, or any ford guy you know that had escorts, exp's or merc lynx's.pretty easy for someone who cares to hear there car.......... anyone can bolt ************ on.or send there wiring harness to someone to be done.but, if you make it, it just feels better. age old debate......cheers, brian of course i tuned that carb myself, with no issues on 3 different engines.2 ea81's, and 1 ej22......
  22. you have to touch your right nipple to the left ventricle on the carb, and it will work.......:lol:sorry, couldna resist. make sure your mounting surfaces are not the culprit as well.old vacuum hose gets hard sometimes, and it will not seal.the cool thing is this stuff is usually cheap.so replace if you have any doubts. it can be a huge pain in the rump roast to figure this out. just have patience...it will work out mang...cheers, brian
  23. i mean, from the vantage point on jeffs vid, i totally cleared it.you know , the "window" bank on the teeter totter.......... why the hell would you touch my car, late at that?:lol:cheers, brian
  24. i used one from a mazda protege.....cheers, brian
  25. the rear glass is the same temper as the front glass, and it gets flying objects all the time.......just a thought
