  1. Always has to be one party pooper in the bunch;)
  2. Being an electrician by trade...I will give ya a little hint..when u cant find your strippers...use a lighter:grin: Have fun!!
  3. Paul discovered this yesterday on an old AC Compresser...We think it was Subarus way of telling Honda something.
  4. It was great to meet you too..and little Rosie!!! I thought she was real good. And her little "nosedive" didnt seem to slow her down any:grin: She is cute as a button! I wish I could afford it or I might take you up on your SVX..just the nestalgia of it would make it sweet to have.
  5. You arent kidding Louis....Paul was pushing that food issue wasnt he?? And Paul....doing that grill for you was the least I could do..for all the parts you donated to Bucky and your advise and just everything.
  6. Hey Paul, You think the Ridgefield police liked it when I ran trough town on my way back and kept telling them they were #1:brow: I agree Mary..these Subaru obsessed fruit loops are great ppl. I was hopeing to get to see you but well all know how things can happen. I still think your Brat is beautiful.. You know I grew up right outside of Carlisle and never really went to the Import Car show but I plan on it next year.Nothing wrong with it being the trailer queen..better than being trailer trash...we save that title for me since I have been called that before.
  7. I just wanted to give another formal THANK YOU!!!! to brus brother and scoobadooba and moosens.. They didnt have to be crawling around on the ground under an oily Loyale today to help fix my exhaust.Words dont discribe how much I appreciate it!! And all the groovy sub parts at moosens...yall dont know what you are missing out on.
  8. I remember how to get there But I am sure ya'll will hear me coming..probably from as far away as exit 15 on 95:banghead: and thats not from my stereo either. I have plenty of boxes...I think they put at least 10 in the back of my car today. And I will sure be happy ... from exhaust fumes!! See ya'll tomorrow ..will be nice to put some more faces to these people who have welcomed me to this fine group of Sub lovers like myself
  9. I just checked the weather and now they are calling for the rain to end friday night and Sat is supposed to be a bit windy but no rain. Good cause I just finished Pauls grill and its looking pretty nice if I do say so myself. ..its not sun baked yellow anymore!!!
  10. You guys are lucky!!!..I cant even get a man let alone one who accepts my hobbies...Cars and Dirt bikes..They all find me to be a freak show or a novelty act. Or when I do have a BF (its been 7 months now since my last date) all they want to do is change me into something I am not. My theory on men is becomeing this..Men are like parking spaces...all the good ones are taken and whatever is left is handicap. Treat your women good guys..you dont find many that will approve of a hobby such as fixin up the old Subaru!!
  11. I will be over Sat for sure...I need that exhaust bad!!! Mine is now officially held on with 3 coat hangers....forgot how loud Subs are without any exhaust..figures ..I told it tis morning to hang on for 3 more days and it fell off on my way to work:banghead: . Plus I want to bring you back the grill..first coat looks NICE!!Going to do a second tomorrow then seal it and shine it all up. Heck if it turns out too nice I will keep it and give you mine:brow: .
  12. I can help ya out on the boxes....already told shipping where I work to save me some decent boxes to bring along....How many you want me to bring??? Plus I was wondering.....How hard is it going to be to "use my girlish charm" and brib.....oops ask for some help on getting that exhaust installed while I am there??? Since mine is hanging on by a thread ..or should I say coat hanger right now;)
  13. Thanks..cant send another Sub to the junk yard..too many of them have met thier fate there..Have to try and save a few of them here in the NorthEast....We have to prove to our children that these awesome cars did exsist.
  14. :slobber: I want it!!!! Too bad I am broke!! And I thought mine was in nice shape ....when I got it. Guess I should go out and get to work fixing and catching up on my tiny rust issues.
  15. I have seen all the stuff Paul has and its definatly worth the trip! I was in Subaru Part heaven!!! I will be there..have to pick up some more stuff and return my little "project" to him;) . Wonder if I should have mentioned to him that I do body work???
  16. I just got back from visiting moosens and he wasnt kidding when he says he has just about anything you need for your Sub. A super nice guy too!!! I brought home one bag of goodies today and will be getting more next Sat at his get together. He sent me home with some of the stuff I need even some I never expected...timing belts and an oil pump!! I cant believe he actually has a complete exhaust too..it was just alittle bit too buried to get today. I just wanted to formally thank him again for everything!!!
  17. Thanks John, I am heading over to Pauls in about an hour. I am funny about preventative maint. stuff since I have been left stranded 2 times now ..not from my Subs though..Once was in VA with my Toyota truck..was stuck for 3 days till I could get someone to pick me up...the truck is still in VA ..broken crank. I was about to go get some JB Weld to gunk up the crack in my exhaust..I am pretty good at back alley engineering:grin: . But I am going to see what the First Subaru Church of the Resurection has to offer first.
  18. I will try and call you in the morning ..I am alittle too:drunk: :drunk: at this moment to even think straight and it 1 am.. I am always willing to help so if ya need me just let me know.I want to root through your goodies ..and will be there next weekend to lend a hand. I understand your 40+ hour thing..got to do that myself or I wouldnt be able to eat. Anyway...I will give you a call in the morning and either leave a message or whatever. Thanks a Billion!!!!!
  19. Yup I have your number ..just didnt want to bother you since you are so busy with everything else.
  20. Congrats on your Loyale...another 92 owner too...seems to be a popular year!! Mine ticks like crazy too...I get tired of ppl telling me to put some oil in it..they are just Subaru impaired thats all. I have owned mine for alittle over a year and he is the third (actually 4 th never drove my 83 wagon..blown head) and I truely love this car!I have really enjoyed my others ..an 88 GL wagon and a 90 Justy..but something about this one is special. He knows I love him too..has taken care of me even when he should haven't have. Nothing like having your axle shaft break on the highway but still making it 30 miles home...and when his ignition system went still making it home on 3 cylinders. Thats why he is my baby..and he knows I fix him when I have the money. I happen to enjoy spending quality time with him..washing,waxing,keeping up on any rust, etc etc. Take care of yours and it will take care of you.
  21. Hi Mary, I about spit my coffee out my nose when I read your "run-of-the-mill Taurus"...I used to own one of those money pits. One of my friends kids is in VoTech and said the same thing...he is dying to work on my car.Problem is..what do I drive while Bucky is in the shop??I am already the local "taxi" for the ppl I work with that live close by..One person at work says that Subaru stands for U R A BUS..and it fits!! If it wasnt starting to get cold I would try alittle bribery...I supply the parts and the beer and the food and have a Subaru fixin party.. I am not afraid to work on it myself..just when I get into a job I have never done before I like to have someone around who knows what they are doing in case I get into a predictament. Shame the cars in the marketplace are all either way to far away...like the $250 hatch....or way outta my price range Here is a pic of my Bucky
  22. Thanks for the kind words..I feel your pain about your Suburban.. Awww..no more burn outs??.Dang..nothing cooler than a Loyale smoking the tires  . I just changed my oil not even a month ago when I did the distributer wires plugs and stuff and it ticks just on warm up. And it needs inspected ASAP and I just heard on the news that they are going to reinstate the emissions tests...wonderful!. I aint afraid to get my hands dirty...no one will do it for me so I have always had to do it myself.
  23. umm..my rear wheel cylinders leak...bad..I have to refill everyother day. And exhaust...well I just moved here to CT from PA and my reg is out so it will need inspected and CT is tough on old cars ..since they dont want them on the road here. I also dont want to get stuck somewhere if the timing belts break...I mean my Loyale is 95% rust free and I want to keep it around.Plus it is my only car and I need it..its my baby. I live by myself and dont have a boyfriend or anyone here. And yes I know my Loyale is cranky enough..it takes after me..I am actually starting to think it has the same suicidal tendencies that I do.
  24. Its official....I am truely over whelmed with everything that needs done to my Loyale now. And I dont know what to do. Here is the list of must needed maintenance: Exhaust from resinator back. rear wheel cylinders and shoes clutch timing belts...way over due, have almost 100,000 miles on them. water pump..the mystery leak solved EGR sylinoid tires gaskets..u name them they need replaced But my other question ties into another thread about the ticking ...if I run the ATF fluid..will it make my oil leaks worse??I know my motor is really gunked up right now. Cant afford to replace my Loyale and cant afford it fix it right...so any ideas on some cheaper parts or anything is much appreciated
