  3. ford does not have the duramax. ford has the powerstroke. the durmax is in the chevy and gmc trucks
  4. you wouldn't have a motion alloy you would bring to sell do you i need one wheel and 2 center caps. and can any one tell me how long it will take me to get from denver to red rocks i trying to decide when to leave and its been about ten years sence i've been there so i can't remember thanks for any info
  5. well now that it is all together i love it but i have noticed a big drop fuel milage and was wondering if anyone else who has swaped a full-time all wheel drive has seen fuel milage drop mine went from about 16mpg to 11mpg and yes i do have a lead foot
  6. i've got a manual rack sitting in a car i have out back. and i was planning on going to red rocks on the 22nd i could bring it to the meet if you want that is if you are going at least.
  7. from what i've heard the bosch platlinum plugs are bad luck. a friend of mine told me that there are cases of engine melt down cuz of bosch. i'm not sure i believe that. but i have heard from quite a few people to stay away from the bosch platlinums. just my 2 cents worth
  8. about the only diffrence is loyale will all be fuel ingected and alot of gl wheren't. are you sure you have an 84 with OHC i do believe that was not used till 85. i could be wrong though it has happened before
  9. well i got the engine and tranny in took all night but i love the tranny.it handles so much diffrent then what i am used to. i still need to wire the diff lock switch though but at least i have my car back. hip hip hurray

  11. hey i have two 2wd 5-speeds i'd give you just to get them out of my plce as far as i know they work fine i got them with a bunch of other parts and am never going to use them i won't run i two wheel drive the one i have i just got the stuff to convert it to 4wd
  12. i got the tranny so i thought i might as well use it i also have a partime dual range but i would rather use the full time dual range. as far the gl-10 coming with the dual range i couldn't say all i know ismine has a single range part-time
  13. I have an 87 gl-10 wagon with a part-time 4wd that I just cracked the heads on it again. The moter i'm putting back in it is out of my 88 rx. I figured as long as i'm swapping the moter iI might as well swap in the dual range full time tranny. My questions are the trannys diffrent lenths ie am I going to have to do something different with my drive shafts and the diff lock mechanizn appers to be the same as what engaged the 4wd on my part time tranny i have so does that mean that the wiring for my push botton 4wheel drive is the same whiring i need for my diff lock. and any other info on the swap whould be helpful.

  15. are the headers going to be discontued any time soon cuz i really want one but money is fairly tight right now
  16. a dizzy is a distbuter and you could put a turbo on your car but with the amount of work an headache and money you would be better off to by a soob that already has one
  17. cracked the heads a couple of weeks ago and been pour'n water in like crazy and it finaly went all the way. the moter had around 150000 and most of that had been rally cross. the guy said he kept it around 7200 rpm the entire race. So i'm not really all that suprized it blew. oh the moter was out of an 85 rx so it had gen 1 heads
  18. Blew up the third moter in my car tonight. Good thing i have a forth. I'll try to make it last a little longer.

  21. i hhave noticed the same thing with my wagon. on dry roads it hooks up alot better than fwd but in snow you ain't going no where
  22. what sucks most about this sitution is now he has to listen to his wife saying "i told you couldn't do it" and "if you had just taken it to the mechanic this wouldn't have happened" are you sue you have the cam retainer snug in its hole. it may not be pushed in enough for the bolt to catch a thread. i hope you can get it fixed with out to much more trouble
