3rd gen leone/loyale/ea82 sedan and coupe tail light differences
-
Greetings, and need some advice.
Dinky26 replied to Fangt's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXYes I would say that you are correct in that it was probably the tires that damaged the diff and not the other way around no farther then it has been. As far as fixing the centre diff, new tires won't hurt it, seriously dout that it will keep it from getting worse also, generally when a bearing starts to go it will die completely down the road somewhere. So at some point it will need to be fixed, hard to say how soon though. As far as getting it fixed I don't really have much knowledge on the part.

Theft at oil change place
Dinky26 replied to ThosL's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXYep, the days of trusting nearly everyone you are around have flown by us , honesty in general is just a thing of the past... I even have to take what my boss says with a grain of, OKAY a really LARGE grain of salt, I don't feel she would steal anything but I can't trust what she tells me of course I do work in a government entity and with that comes very large lack of trust (legal theivery there) I won't leave anything of value in the car if I take it anywhere to be serviced or of the sort I've heard of people leaving their :excl:gun under the seat when they have taken the car to the car wash, talk about just stupid , of course that will come up missing.....idiots . Oh for the things we should not have to do but are highly encouraged to do in this day and age. ALL at the same time........ This is another reason why I change my own oil. I feel for those of you that either don't have the time/place/means or otherwise to do such a thing.

86 Brat rear seat mounting bracket fabrication?
This is another thing on my list to do, have not done yet though. Here are some pictures, looking for measurments can't seem to locate right now, they are on here somewhere though. If anybody has said measurements feel free to chime in. Me personally, are planning on making these bolt in so if I wan't to take them out it is not a cut and go deal. Orginally they were welded in so I am told.

Are brats really this expensive now?
Here's a decent one and he doesn't even want 2K, said he would take $600 for it actually. I can nearly justify that. UGH..... He called me last night and said he wanted it to go to someone who knew about Subarus. . . http://topeka.craigslist.org/cto/4990308788.html

Loyale Parts Car
Bumpers are good to have. Dash cluster especially digital. Push button 4WD I'm guessing it has, those can be a premium, I know you said your keeping it. Cargo cover if it's still there CV axles especially if they are still original, fix any original CVs, so much be then the crap that is put today. The computer brain, never know when you might need one. Rims if they are alloy Pull the rear cvs to never know on those too. That's all I can think of at this point.

$200 for an EA82....Worth it?
I have been known to do the same kind of thing, then later I'm cursing myself to no end. Case an poin the 91 Loyale wagon that I pulled the engine on 2+ years ago, I am just hoping and praying that I can not only find all the parts but put them back in their respective spots they go to.

That is why when there are two such as brakes, do one side at a time, to have the other to refer to.

Potential annual costs of Brat ownership
bratman2, I know you're exaggerating when you say burn it to the ground. They probably did more than that also, don't remember right now. They have really done me right on the other vehicles I've taken to them. Yeah I did replace the tranny mounts last month too, they were shot.

Potential annual costs of Brat ownership
Really need another vehicle to fall back onto when something goes askew. Hard for me to say, for I have only owned my Brat for 3 years 3 months. It's been just pretty much routine maintence things. I had the shop do an axle, both axles actually replaced and that COST me $900, so when the next boot went out I figured out how to do it myself.
