  1. Happy trails.
  2. I don't know that the ea82 is considered JUNK. I agre it isn't as powerful as the ej series, aspecially the seemingly bulletproof ej22, but certainly not junk. With that said, I don't see the reason for putting an ea into a ej application except for monetary concerns (i.e. I already have one). The better option would be to rebuild the ej, and convert the ea into a mudder.
  3. First off, you probably have a Loyale, not a Legacy. You might have dirt in the carb. Try revving it up, covering the carb with a rag, then pulling it off quickly. It might just dislodge the dirt. If not, you may have to tear it down and manually clean it. But I am sure others will have differing opinions. I am by no means a carb expert. Good luck with it.
  4. I made the mistake of putting a Fram on (it was all they had in the store). It had a pinhole in it. Thus, immense amounts of smoke and engine compartment mess. Never again.
  5. What would Homer Simpson say: "Doh!"
  6. Sparky, Good to see you still around. I've been away a bit myself. What is the motivation to move to S.C.?
  7. I can see the pic, and it looks like nice work.
  8. Two suggestions: 1. Put a For sale sign on it. Sell it and replace it with a Gen 3. or 2. Stock up on your favorite pain reliever/ muscle relaxer. After you contort your body to reach all of the screws/ nuts/bolts in all of the hidden recesses while lying on your back upside down, and raking your knuckles over unseen sharp edges, you will want to hit them hard, along with a generous dosing of your favorite beverages.
  9. That may be so, but they are REALLY good posts.
  10. Welcome to the board. Where in the Greatland are you located?
  11. There are several people here who can fab something up for you, and one former who you should definitely avoid.
  12. Well, the economy didn't tank here as badly as most places. And you're always welcome here.
  13. Hate to see you "voice of reason" not be active on the board, but can understand why. My wife was after me for spending too much time here.
  14. You can make anything fit. As said before, adapter brackets will allow whatever you want. They can be found in the archives.
  15. I sold my 83 Brat that I bought from Richie for $2700 to a guy last year for $3,000 after some mods.
  16. Welcome back, Corky. Good to see you back.
  17. If it last you six years then you got your money out of it? If it lasts you six MONTHS you got your money out of it. Consider that a car payment is over $300 a month. You paid $650 for the car. That's just over 2 months of car payments.
  18. Sorry to see you out of the lift business. I really liked your product and service. But welcome back to a less hectic life.
  19. I (and many others) fail to see the humor in it.
  20. If for some reason Mudrat shows up, please remind him he still owes me $470. I have not forgotten.
  21. Torxxx you've got to be concerned with a hot air intake in this climate, too. Kelly had problems with his hook up.
  22. We have plenty more where that came from. Got 6" today alone. I plowed 7 driveways today -all as favors.
