  1. Is that just a guess or is there any measurements to back that up?
  2. Its the super stiff spring rates on those EBay kits, if you want a good set of coilover sleeves from a civic that will fit, id recommend Ground Control. I had them on my Civic before i got Function Form Type 2s
  3. Raceland is fantastic for the money: I used CRX Coils currently im trying to work out my strut situation
  4. 189000 miles, probably the cleanest GL in MN too
  5. Yeah this is worthless as hell, anyone ever try putting Celica GT-S/Celica Supra flares on a GL? They look like they could fit:
  6. Whats the lowest riding strut that will fit the back of a GL-10/Loyale? I have a 4WD that i am trying to lower, I already have coilover sleeves off a CRX in the back and all the way down they still have 1 fist of wheel gap. I have 175/70 tires on it and Monroe 4wd struts, I know i can get them to tuck the tires, ive seen a FWD Loyale personally that low. I have attached pics of my car as it is now
  7. I got a GL-10 AWD and i used ebay coilover sleeves for a CRX, they fit but the back end all the way down is still way too high im gonna try a shorter strut, i got 3" to go before i tuck and thats my goal.
  8. cool thanks. i assume id have to hack and swap in another harness? they wouldnt have the same connector by any chance?
  9. What tapes were they? I found a 2112 8 track while digging through a mk1 supra at the junkyard a few months ago
  10. These 3ATs are horrible, 0 to 60 in around a week and a half
  11. Cool thanks, next question is there anyone that would be willing to wire me up a harness to do the swap with? haha I dont want to ficken this up and ruin my subaru, GL wire harnesses arent exactly common in a state with 6 known running EA81 or EA82 era cars.
  12. I added a 1" hood spacer from some chrome spacers i got at menards for $3.00. Cooled my engine about 10 degrees and up to 20 on the freeway, works better than my 160 degree thermostat i got at autozone.
  13. Okay so I've got a GL-10 with a digital dash and an Automatic tranny. Thing is EA82T engines suck bad, so im wanting to swap it. I've been doing research but i haven't found any threads about this. I have an automatic tranny and a digital dashboard and i would like to swap to a manual and keep the dashboard cluster functional, honestly if i have to ditch the dashboard the car is staying EA. Is the wiring the same as on a analog cluster? If i switch to manual i know the PRND21 lights wont be of use but will i see any other issues with it such as the tacho and speedo not working? Do i reuse the EA cluster terminals or or EJ terminals fit? Are there any builds i can use for tips on this particular project? I know there are a ton of Gl-10s and Loyales that have this swap but i havent heard of a digital dash too. I just don't want the underside of my car to be a wiring cluster when im done and i want everything to work as god intended.
  14. swap to 5 lug suspension then use modern coilovers. XT6 rear hubs GC front suspension idk which coilovers you would use. im on the same hunt to do it to mine too.
  15. So i hear an exhaust leak under my engine hopefully it is a gasket but it could be a cracked manifold, sounds like it at least, i dont suppose an EJ manifold would so happen to bolt up would it? Where can i find a new manifold?
  16. cant you just turn on the car and put the ac on then take a screwdriver and push down the pin on the high side and blow all the r12 out then just pump in 134a?
  17. thanks man i love it, bumpin some Phil Collins and cruisin in this makes me feel awesome
  18. The lowest ones would be made for the 88-91 Civics since theyre the lightest, this also would mean that 90-01 Integra coilover sleeves should fit too. what about stock civic springs on our struts?
  19. Does this work on FWD or AWD GLs or both?
  20. So here is the business on the car, its AWD Turbo all that... Digital Dash (Ill take a picture tonight of that) Active Suspension Trip Computer A/C that is going to work on pay day Here are pics
  21. Fantastic, yeah im thinking just a 5x100 swap and a 2.5" exhaust for now and once i finish my Civic then ill jump into an EJ swap.
  22. Thanks, theres a few 90s imprezas at the junkyard down the road so i was gonna yank what i can. So the Impreza knuckle and hubs look like my objective then. And i want to actually swap over to moderns suspension so i can buy some coilovers, its a DD and i dont much plan on offroading it so i just want to drop it a bit and put on some wheels.
  23. So i just traded my AW11 MR2 for my first Subaru. it is a 1986 Subaru GL-10. Its AWD with the EA82T engine. The car is rust free (amazing for MN) because its from Arizona and it was owned by an old man then a responsible guy in his early 30s so the car is tip top for the most part. Only downsides to the car are the fact it is automatic and really slow, like worryingly slow, like i got pulled on by a city bus slow. I'll post pictures when my camera charges up.
