  1. Sounds like Salt Lake City, There are at least three Subarus at any intersection. We don't have any old ones any more because the all rusted...
  2. Painting it black would work too! Good Score!
  3. Your not going to Scrap that are you?:slobber: There is still plenty of good junk on that baby!!! Like the Fuel Pump Control Unit! Circa 1982! It's one 10mm bolt to salvage! Jerry, I have a Tan rear wheel well plastic panel. I think it's the drivers side?
  4. Whatever happend to the Brat? Did you finish that or give up?
  5. Shouldn't that have come with white rims? For some reason I was thinking the quad headlights and white rims were a trim package? Looks good anyway! Glenn
  6. This thread has the answer.... http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=14124&highlight=forester+clock+resistor This board knows everything...
  7. It's an easy fix, do you have a solder gun? Took me about 30 seconds once it was out of the car. It's just a simple "Spot Weld".
  8. Could it clip in between the two existing electrical couplers rather than to an unused one? Usually Subaru instructions are idiot proof. I have had real good luck adding in Subaru Factory parts. Keyless on my 01 Forester took 5 minutes total. Alarm took 5 also. Do you have instructions? Not that real men would actually read them:rolleyes:
  9. I can clearly see the nose and mouth of the "Tin Man" from the Wizard of OZ in the upper left part of the picture. The rest of his body parts are just to his left. Is that it?

    its time

    I have an 84 that needs a lift!!! What a conicidence:banana:
  11. "Let he who is with out sin cast the first stone". Spongebob Squarepants, 1999
  12. I have never seen a mount like that, My bar mounted to the shipping ties and bumper. From the looks and hole positions, I'd say it mounts higher in the rear. Most likely to the actual frame rails. Possibly to the motor mount holes/bolts? This would sit the bar level and be stronger? Put the front more level/leaning forward and see if it wants to mount to the frame rails...? In the pic it's leaning back
  13. I like your engineering... The stick is backwards from the factory position, so are you pushing down for 4wd up for 2wd:confused:
  14. Not to change the subject but, Look at the metal heater core tubes, the ones that the rubber hoses connect to. These could have corroded inside the cabin and caused your problem. Your problems could be worse, when I looked under my carpet, I found my driveway:mad:
  15. I'm with Cougar on this one, Check the linkage to see if any wires are touching it or could touch it, when the gas pedal is pressed... Then check/re-ground your engine bay. I'm thinking rust could be a factor too! That's a weird one..
  16. Do "we" have anger management issues...? Tell me about your childhood... I'd really love the fuel pump control unit off that 82! It's a one bolt, and unplug removal and it would not cost me much to ship it to me!
  17. Sorry to hear of your "lift". Hope you return to normal soon Jack Stand lifts are nothing but trouble:lol:
  18. Doing some Rough math, I find that if it's an 84? That would make it roughly 23 years old. 1,700,000mi / 23yrs = 73,913/yr 73,913 / 365 = 202.5 miles/day At an average of 50 mph that would be 4 hours a day, EveryDay, rain or shine for 23 years, no days off, no exceptions. While technically possible, something in this equation does not pass the "Does it make sence test" Let me be the first to say, I doubt it!!!!:-\ My .02 Glenn
  19. I've got a foot under the rear diff but, I have it lowered all the way down to save my joints. It's the front that matters anyway.
  20. Good luck with your build. May the Horsepower Gods smile upon you! Big Tires W/O real low gears is always going to plague us.
  21. "Ripped off" is function of price... If you didn't pay a lot, you may not have been ripped off? A distributor cap, some bushings and a tranny may solve all your problems. Good Luck,
