  1. Wow! The last time I saw one that clean was 1988! Keep the original rims just so you can make it bone stock when you don't need the clearance. Nice Work! Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer 84 GL Mad Max 01 Forester
  2. Don't do it!!! Why are you pulling it in the first place?
  3. You'll be back.... Your just taking some time off... We will miss you till you return with a new Subie...
  4. If your Tac is not reading then is your car really running? If a Tree falls in the forest.... never mind, these cold pills are really messing me up... Summer and Mad Max do this all winter long....
  5. It's been out on the road before... This was a stop over in Salt Lake on it way form Yuma to Oregon back in 03. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=8710&cat=500&ppuser=584 Stop by if your going to be in the neighborhood. Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer 84 GL Mad Max 01 Forester
  6. Oh, that was cold!!! But funny!

I has a pretty solid frame. I see no breaks in the body for a cab and a bed. The tires look like truck tires. I'm betting on some sort of bus. It's giving me ideas.....
  8. Nice Pics:cool: Way good looking Hatch!
  9. Your car handles better and quits pulling to the right:banana:
  10. The 82's should have come with them? http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/Literature/brochures/1982-brat-j.jpg The brochures show Brats with Center lamps? But by the time a car is 25 years old many changes can take place...
  11. All I can say is nice job! I wish I could join you on the 27th...
  12. Whatever works! I think it's a great idea.

No Kubota tires although I wish I had the gears of a Kubota. Dirt Devil ATV tires 26X12X12. The lugs are 1.25" and I was running 12 psi. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=11729&cat=500&perpage=12&sort=3&ppuser=584 http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=4968&cat=500&perpage=12&sort=3&ppuser=584 I switch off between some truck tires and the ATV tires depending on the situation. A few weeks before these pics were taken, the truck tires did better on the same terrain? (a little over a foot of grainy powder snow) I wanted to go play with "Summer" this weekend but it's suppose to be 8 for a high and - in the lows.:-\
  14. Wish those girls would move so I can see more of the car:lol: Three of those girls look alike:confused:
  15. I wish my car sounded like that:grin:
  16. Which side of the car is this on? Sounds like it might be a heat shield? If it is...you probably don't want to remove it.
  17. Hummm...a Subaru person attached to a Subaru? I know just what you mean. That's the reason I built the buggy, I couldn't part with my rusty Hatch after 20+ years.
  18. What about removing an axle for on-road use? On the buggy it takes around 30 seconds. Pound two pins, pull right, pull left, done. I'd imagine on the hatch it couldn't take more than 5 minutes once you have done it a time or two?
  19. Weld the diff in your Hatch and call it done!
  20. What is Rocky going away for:confused: ...and 15 minutes is not that far away... A core is a core is a core as far as I'm concerned.
  21. :slobber:Me want!:slobber: That white Brat leaves me speechless...
  22. It was the dreaded rust issue that led me to put a new body on my old 82 Hatch. It's much happier now.
  23. Some years are better than others, some Subies are better than others... The Subie in your avitar looks like a winner! All the old Subies up here rusted away years ago... May 2007 be the year of the Subie for you (and all of us too). Cheers, Glenn 82 SubaruHummer--Rhino from down under. 84 GL Mad Max 01 Forester

Went Off-roadin over the Holidays! Took some pics because I couldn't believe how well the SnoBuggy worked in 15" to 20" of snow. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=13823&cat=500&ppuser=584 http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=13826&cat=500&ppuser=584 Went over snowmobile trails and got the strangest looks? Never did get stuck and I sure asked for it. Too much traction! The only problems I found were at the end of the trails I had to "bank-bash" zzzto get past the snowplow piles to get back on the roads. And some of the hill climbs sure sucked the power out of that old 1800 engine. With 26" tires in deep snow, hills climbs, sure make me wish I had more motor! http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=13824&cat=500&ppuser=584 SnoBuggy after a good flogging. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=13825&cat=500&ppuser=584 SnoBuggy after a nice cold bath. I love my SnoBuggy:D Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer--SnoBuggy! 84 GL Mad Max--Needs new plugs 01 Forester--Serious traction action
  25. If the snow is deep enough to give your Soob a problem, I'm not sure you should be out in the first place? Chains should get you a little farther but... once the snow is DEEP, your not going anywhere in your Soob anyway. Once we start pushing snow, the end is in sight:eek: Ice is a different story...:-\ Chains would help on Ice. I'm in the mountains quite a bit but I don't have chains for my Subaru. I do have them for my Trooper. In a bad storm I'd take chains and the Trooper.
