On aluminum engines, its a MUST that they go to the machine shop. The head may be flat but the surface finish will not be what it was new, and that has to be restored. Both HG's need to be done. Also if its weeping you can wait months before you repair it (read summer). Just check the fluids regularly. nipper

Not here that i know of but i do have a bridge i can sell you. Soobys are simple cars they like the stock plugs, otherwise you can misfire codes on the ECU. They have been tried on the outback board and showed no real benefit except for the sale of code scanners to figure out the misfire codes. nipper

I wouldnt even bother getting the codes read right now. Look under the car make sure nothing is dangling anywwhere (nothing broke). Disconnect the battery for ten minutes, that should clear the codes. In some CEL failures the car will disable the cruise. If its still an issue get the codes read at a autozone. nipper
