It was blueish smoke sorry, we talked with a local place, they say it is the modulator, when it goes bad it lets A.t. Fluid get sucked into the intake manifold by its vacuume, the check is to pull the line off of it and check if atf comes out, walah! atf fluid. they said it is a dealer only part. how much am i going to get overcharged for it?

the smoke and rattle, it does it in any direction and even in park. I was asking about the disk, cause I found half of it in the tranny oil pan awhile ago. and I think the seal in the diff is shot.

Hello, my dads 92 Loyale 3AT has another problem, as he described to me, when the gas pedal is pushed white smoke shoots out the exhaust and the engine makes a ratteling sound, both dissapear when he lets off the gas. damn that car sucks. And does the seal between the front diff and the transmission look like a black plastic ring about 6.5cm in diameter with a 4.25 cm hole? -AK.

I just read this whole post, man it would be cool if the engine got that much but my better sense says bull, it sounds fake, no EA82T could get that much.

ok, I will try to floor it less often:( i'll check the timing too. and fix the leak in the exhaust manifold (saps power right?) and get new plugs. clean some stuff also.

I have heard references on the board of EA81s getting 35 to 40 miles per gallon, mine gets around 25 mpg like that of a normal car, probabaly because of age and stuff, what can I do to boost it? I will be going to college soon and any thing that would help the car save on gas money would be greatly appreciated. -AK.

I was in dinger hell a couple of months ago, one of the switches was broken and it would come on randomly, one time I was sleeping, and I woke up and heard this ding... ding... ding... it happened a couple of times, I eventually replaced the switch, but I still wake up sometimes hearing that noise... and screaming, but thats another story:D

how long did it take for the front wheels to lock up?, my dads haven't yet, just a lot of oil in the tranny. so this is something that you can't fix without ripping apart thewhole transmission?

for 80 bucks, maybe but I won't have much left with the cost of repainting it and decals.

sorry, You have the wrong Idea, this isn't a performance thing for the Loyale, I should have explained that, I think I can get a MPFI engine for about $100 and I would like to put it in my brat, If it would also work in the Loyale my dad would be more likely to get it for me, as it would be awhile until we could put it in, so if the loyale dies we could use that engine in it, whew, biggest run-on sentence ever!

how difficult is it to swap an MPFI engine into a SPFI loyale auto? what do you have to switch, ecu, (engine Of course) what else?
