93 legacy "manual" button? & cost opinion
My dad and his girlfriend sandy went to look at a legacy for their daughter: 93 legacy 2WD automatic 125,000 miles good condition - dad said so, I didn't see it personally $2400 dollars do you think that's a good price? a question they had was, that on the shifter where the 4WD button would be (like a EA82 4WD auto, it's under the one you have to push to change gears) there is a button called "Manual", what does it do? -AK

Loyale auto trans problem (yeah, I know, I know, get a new tranny)
92 loyale 3AT 4WD. we were driving home from walmart and on the highway, it lost third, just like it shifted into neutral, had to drive the rest of the way doing 35 on the highway. I took out the govenor, the gear was cored all the way down in the center, I had checked it a week ago and it was fine! I felt around and the inside gear feels good. my question is what could make it wear down so fast?

What you see on the nations hiways

When I run into things like that I just use a dremel tool to grind a flat-head slot into it. works all the time on those little star and square screws:cool:

High ride option?
Hello, my father is thinking of buying a 1990 Legacy LS AWD, that has the "high ride" option, which raises the suspension with a push of a button. he had a xt before with the adjustable ride height shocks and they gave him nothing but trouble (he eventually converted it to coil-over) is this the same type of system on the legacy with the same problems? -AK.

Basecoat and Clearcoat done
He didn't make all the cuts:-p, we used a grinder with a cutting wheel on it, what we couldn't fit the grinder into we used shears. and an air hammer. he figured out all this when he restored his triumph, so the brat is him teaching me how to do bodywork, I will need it when we restore his sunbeam and convert his tr7. and when I get a gen 1 Brat. and some 360's, hopefully. -AK.
