  1. ok, i have a 90 legacy wagon... 2.2l allt the fun goodies.... im wanting just a little more oomph without going turbo or bigger motor... what can i do? and while im thinking about it how much does it cost to rebuild a 2.2l?
  2. simple as that... i've done a fewe 2 wheel drives with my dad, but never a 4wheel drive, any hints? tips? things i should know about?
  3. so, sean, any pics yet? i know you took some, but are you gonna post them? would be cool......
  4. ok, if im going to weld the rear diff, i need to weld the spider gears together right??? i know that im gonna have to take off a half shaft while street driving, but im not worried about that.... just wondering about the diff part........
  5. hey!!! good to see another meet goin down... been awhile since i last checked here, but im game for the 18th, so i will be there....... hopefully with my new exhaust, and 4wd again.....
  6. i have everything except the right size bolt for the seering wheel puller, anyone know what it is?
  7. if i had a turbo, which i might soon, i would definately be interested.... definately.... i might even still be interested with a n/a motor.... pm me with shipping costs to 80601, and 80021..... thanks...
  8. i would say you could test it on a stand, you might have to turn the motor over by hand, but you should still be able to do it.... as for the delta cams, they wont change compression, just valve timing and duration, things like that.....
  9. is it a carb or efi??? if its carbed, its ok,m if its efi, it needs to be 20 degrees btdc...... and some other things, open up the airflow passage to the engine.... if efi, ditch the intake muffler, its in the right side fenderwell.... if carbed, you might want to cut the pan some..... eitherway a k&n air filter will also help out some, plus they make your soob sound cooler.....
  10. well, i have thought of using actual baja suspension, ( from the baja vehicles, not the subaru baja ) and doing some suspension lift, but thats a bit pricey, somwhere around $3,000 just for the suspension, not including the price of materials it would take to make it all work..... but at the same time, i have also heard that there is a company somewhere that makes long travel struts.... so i was gonna look into that, because that might also be an option, but probably still pricey...... anyway, what kind of tires can i get in a 29"??
  11. i have heard that you can run 30" tires if you have a 3" lift and cut the fenders like mad, is this true??????
  12. between when wnd when??????, oh, and i dont work , so i can help just about all day if you need me to...
  13. does anyone know how hard it would be to make aft4wd tranny a 3.9 ratio with the dr reducer gear??????
  14. im lookin to buy some 4.44 gears, and i was wondering if anyone had a rough geuss as to what i will be forkin up for these bad boys???? im lookin for a front ring and pinion, and a rear diff........
  15. im pretty sure that the justys had the push button tranny's for the 4 wheel drive....... although i had thought of doing a justy buggy just for fun once.......
  16. sounds good to me, gives me plenty of time to get things goin good for my wagon too..........
  17. whats the web page for colorado component rebuilders?
  18. ok, heres the deal, my timing is just a little bit off, brand new spark plugs and wires, and an accel coil...... but lately i've been getting so much miss fire that it sounds like im missing three out of four every time...... and it sounds fine at idle, works ok if im full throttle, but everything else is just horrible..... everything in between is just crazy amounts of miss fire...... making my gas mileage severly drop, and the joy of driving the wagon more to be a pain in the butt!!!! help me out guys, im stuck!?!?!?!
  19. could be fun, now we need a time and place to meet and some more people to show up........ unfortunately my wagon is lame right now..... broke a strut top, again... thats twice in one month!!! its getting a little annoying....but, i should have it back up and able in a few weeks......
  20. we here in colorado have been a bit lazy on this matter...... we should get a meet goin sometime soon... its summer the weather is nice, and we just need to do it. so we need to come up with a time and place to do it........ i also think that some wheelin would be nice, since its been awhile...... so some place in the mountains would be good....
  21. ok, i remember reading in the fix all book, that the xt6 has the 7.7:1 pistons, not the 9.5:1 pistons, that is the whole reason why i was looking into doing this, because it would be easy, and the parts are easy to find....... i could be wrong, but if i were to use the 9.5:1 pistons, it would not be an interference motor, because it has the same insides that an ea82 has....... right? im kinda lookin at keepin it naturaly aspirated, i dont want to go into turbo or superchargers yet because that requires a lot more work than what i have time and money for......
  22. ok, i've been lookin to get an xt6 for offroading purposes..... now, i was wondering if you could do a piston swap from an ea82 to get higher compression......... i have heard that the two motors are basically the smae, just one has two more cylinders.............i was just thinking on it, thought it would be an easy way to get a whole heck of a lot more power, and for cheap too.........
  23. the highest ever was at about 7750rpms, just cause i wanted to see what it could do, but the norm for city is about 4000, and when im trying to make the wagon go, about 6000......
  24. my buddy and i were thinking the same thing about solid axles... we were thinking use a hatch, and swap over some suzuki axles, with a samuri lift leaf kit for the suspension..... but then comes the mounting part... simple, full roll cage, put a bar to every point where the leafs would conect to the chasis.... it coul be pretty freakin awesome, if'n we had the time and money to partake of such a groovy project......
