  6. seems pretty quiet here in the Offroad Section, whats everyone up to? any offroading adventures? what ya building of rebuilding? , got any good stories? well Ill start, haven't been doing much as far as offroad, did have a EJ refreshed with new HGS and delta low torx cams, got that in my unfinished shortened Buggy, it has 29" TSLs , been building a Model A Ford modified track roadster, did the Cherokee thing over the winter, that thing went places the Improved Subaru would never go, well what you guys been doin? post em up show us some Images.

  8. is there a official site to register for this event ?
  9. I try to go as light as possible, don't over do it bring the esentuals like, rear axle, rear stub shaft and special tools to install that, a jack and a spare tire and a comelong and a tow strap, remember this is a light car don't add so much stuff it over burdens your car , if you have a tow rig or another vehicle leave all the extras back at camp, or let the guy with the yota carry the stuff , I used to carry lots of water but fixed that problem
  10. So Ive been driving this 2002 Impreza outback sport these last few weeks, I just have 1 key with no keyless entry fob , today was the first time Id locked the car, we had went to town , parked the car and locked it with the inner switch at the drivers side panel, so 1 hour later we come out I unlock the passenger door, then get in to start it and nothing happens, theres a red light on the dash that says security its flashing , after 45 min I figured what to do I turned the key on and off a few times and the light went off and the car started normal , unhooking the battery didn't work, so gurus what did I do wrong? how can I prevent this in the future ?, how does this system work anyway
  11. Im ready and support this, when you come up with a stand alone system that will make a stok EJ moter run I want to be part of it and sell them at my store
  12. the strongest points are the spot welded seams, run a bead along the seam and weld to that
  13. the 87 has some good steel in there, rip off the plastic cover and make a mount for the winch, the early 85 EA82 bumpers are junk
  14. a project Id like to do someday is make a engine with all electronic control, no timing belt, no cams just electronic silinoids on all the valves, a sensor on the crank and a few injectors, the valve timing , injection, and spark would be totally adjustable , could have a computer in dash and different preset choices for either lowend tork, highend power, fuel economy and soforth, with sensors on the engine and computer controlled its endless the changes and choices you could have, would be fun to play with
  15. if there was such a product I would be interested in building and selling it at my store, my brother sets up and programs programmable controlers for industry, if we could get all off the shelves parts that would be a plus, are you thinking of using all the stock Subaru sensors and FI parts or ? , are the plug ends available to plug into the stock parts?
  16. Im interested in a stand alone system for doing EJ swaps, all brand new so a guy that putting a EJ 2.2 or similar in a old EA car can just do it with the engine nad wont have to have the doner harness thinned out
  17. is that a ea82 rear setup? I assumed your car was all EJ parts
