i enjoyed driving mine around my parking lot.i just gotta get used to no power steering.
-
i got rid of the stumbling problem.that was a combination of things. just would like it to have smooth idle.when i took it for a drive today i accidently oops....

well here's a update on my justys running condition. finished changing the cap/rotor/plugs & wires/air filter, but of course forgot to replace fuel filter(were is it located anyway?) runs alot better.doesn't stumble so much.while it idles,it does shake for a bit then calms down, then shakes a bit, etc.so i'm thinking its gonna need so attention given to the fuel system. the tube that goes onto the throttle body wasn't on correctly(bottom part of it was turned inward)so it wasn't sealing correctly.when removing the intake tubes i noticed what seemed to be fuel that came out of the T-body and into the intake.(i think it even got to the air filter) after getting her back together i took her for a quick spin around the community i live in and she drove pretty good.need to get used to the clutch and the lack of power steering.

that's why i disconnected mine.(that and it was sticking and didn't feel like fixing it):-p

tell me about it.tried local dealer for just a air filter and they told me i'd have to wait 1-2 days for it to come in. (was told that they're not a common car)

after seeing this thread,i relized that my newest toy doesn't have a cupholder either. guess i'll have to figure away to mount one in my justy.of course it'll be a short time before it's a daily driver.

i have to commend you on tackling such a big project.keep us posted.

3 different sized wipers j/k already deal with that with my legacy. the justy only has two wipers.(maybe i lost the third one)
-
i'm not sure how much boost they can take but i've read at another forum(justy) about how some are running turbos without a prob. http://subarujusty.proboards20.com/index.cgi?board=engine&action=display&thread=1136629223 unless there's a way i can get the parts needed to convert to 4wd real cheap,it may be getting dropped to the ground. i'll just lift the legacy. (one for the road, one for the trail)

man, your tach would block most of the instrument cluster in my justy.pep boys has one that's a small 2-3inch one for $40 bucks.maybe i'll get that.
-
cool, thanks every one for the suggestions.when i do get one installed,i'll make sure to post pics.
-
i was thinking about making it a micro-rocket in the future i'll be seeing about turboing it. for now i'll just get it to the point were it's running perfect and mech sound. next thing i'll be working on is checking the brakes. i had to special order the cap, plug wires and air filter.out of three parts stores, none had them in stock.dealership didn't even have a filter instock.anyone else have problem getting these simple parts? btw-anyone know the spark-plug gap?

by what i've been reading the oil pump is one of the things to watch for.keep a eye out for the light coming on while test driving it along with letting the clutch out while idleing,so the rps drop a bit to see if the low pressure light comes on. that's what i've read.i just got a 94 and i think after doing a tune-up she run perfect.
-
wouldn't have to run any wires through the firewall
-
found out by a pm that it should be a easy hook up useing the wire from the dist going to the coil.i think the hardest part would be deciding were to mount the tach.
-
ok so i take it it'll be at marys in may? maybe i'll have my justy running tip-top by then.
-
i now have a 1994 justy 2wd dl. i noticed it doesn't have a tach in the instrument panel.how hard would it be to install one? i'd really like to know the engine speed while driving the justy. oh btw-why doesn't she have power steering.is it because she's a base model justy?

Subaru must have been nuts!!!

anyone know how well justys deal with high rev shifts? of course i'm gonna have to install a tach before i go doing any high rev shifts. -
yup i did.now my legacy has a lil' sister. and i paid $175 for her.i think she needs a tune up real bad cause she has a real bad case hiccups at idle and when i give it gas.(please don't say timing) (sorry to all 56k folks if pic is large)
