  1. insignificant post but.... well after doing a small search, there's 1,112 members in WA.13 are from your town.
  2. man,i wish the j/y's around me had that many soobs.the closest one is so disorginized that you have to really look to find the car you need parts from, the next closest has maybe 6-8 (mostly already stripped) and the last one (2 towns only) i'm lucky if they have 4-5 (and them too are pretty much picked clean) i could live at the yard you found. (am i the only one that just loves walking around j/y?)
  3. but would the clutch acting up only cause problems with 4th gear like she said in an earlier post
  4. i'd gladly do it but....it may take me a while to get over there. hope someone's able to help you out with both the test driving and the repairing of you soob.
  5. but,i bet it handles good with those low-profile tires on.atleast better then if you had one with taller sidewalls.. i had a dodge avenger with 205/50 r17s that handled like it was on rails.of course i had fun with it,specially on the highway take slow 90 degree turns at 110
  6. if i remember it correctly, there's three lights and they're all for a directional (for those other drivers that are in your blind-spot and can't see the ones on the back of the car)
  7. i agree i'm sure there's someone here that's near Cynthia that is willing to help her out with this.... come on guys/gals come forward. (it'll give you a chance to drive another subie)
  8. ok never mind,i'm not allowed to do it.
  9. ok so june 3rd,cool gives me plenty of time to get ready for it. gonna add it to the calender here so anyone that doesn't see this thread but sees the calender will know about this meet.
  10. if you pull out the tranny dipstick and whip it clean, you should see some etching/writing on it to tell you if it's full when cold or hot and when it needs trans gear lube. wish i had a pic to better show you. oh btw-do you still have the owners manual-it'll show you how to check it in there even with a pic. it is nice to see a female that's not affraid to check her own cars fluids.i had the hardest time getting my sister to do anything except put gas in and drive her cars.
  11. engine looks like it's coming along seeing those pics maid me remember back when i thought i could do the dual weber carbs(like you can put on vw bugs) on my 86 gl wagon... BTW-is that even possible?
  12. i wanna get me one of those books
  13. so...what date did we agree on again?.... (being lazy and don't feel like going back to look )
  14. yup,we're quick well, just cause it is fwd now doesn't mean it has to stay that way.if it snows heavy in your area and if you can get the parts cheap enough to do a fwd to 4wd conversion. (you'd need more then just trans to convert)
  15. so austin??? did you have to change your shorts after this one?? looks like it would of been fun BTW-the new pics are awesome..
  16. i nominate the 4wd D/R if there's nothing really wrong with the rest of the car, then i'd just replace trans an go on driving your subie.
  17. liked it very much, thanks for the tease..specially liked the slow motion part in the beginning. how'd you capture all the video? camcorder? digital cam? i have a brand new canon zr200 camcorder that i haven't used yet.gonna have to start doing some taping.
  18. plastic one or metal hangers.plastic ones stung more, though they brake to easy. plastic fly swatter here.. yup having the thumbs inside of the wheel while offroading is a good way to brake thumbs..
  19. sorry for hijack but what is 1st/2nd order imbalance? reason i ask is that i have a 94 justy that shakes at idle.(couple people told me that it's normal) it smooths out perfectly when gas is given. was mainly curious about this inbalance thing?
  20. i thought i read somewhere that a hondas rad will fit with some mod,but can't recall what the mods were..sorry i'm not much help.
  21. i owned one several yrs back.it was a 89 full time 4wd 5spd.stupidly sold it to some girl that i heard turned around and junked it. if i only had know that she was gonna do that,i wouldn't have sold her the car.i loved the fact that i t was turbo.only problems i had was rust along the bottom seam on the front doors and rust inside the rear wheel wells.oh and man did it TICK!! wish i had some pics of it.it was grey with blue interior.mine had all the options that frank b's had except for the center diff lock(or i don't remeber it having it)
  22. shoot, they don't even cover my subaru-(94 justy) they have stuff for my legacy but.. not for my justy...Hmmm
  23. found his pic in his album.. i'm thinking of doing that with my justy.just to get the speakers out of the dash.
  24. you could try going to the j/y and try and find a subie that matches yours and just unbolt the whole thing(just the shock and mounts, not the hatch) or find a broom stick to use to hold up the hatch instead of fixing:D
  25. well one,so far... can't say which one.someone might call the aspca...j/k it would of been the dogs fault anyway
