  1. i did mine almost the same. except the fact that i made the mistake of trying to use those plastic screw things that hold the cover on.it works fine except one of em bounces a'lil while driving.i still gotta get around to redoing it.(don't really use em now,cuz of the bounce)
  2. i've had my 92 going through snow that was above the bottom section of the door.went through it without a problem.snow was coming up over my hood. i even stop at one point to see how deep it was, after checking(by opening door an pushing snow aside with door)put her back in first an was able to take right off(little tire spin) moral of this story "never under-estimate the ability of your soobie-roo"
  3. ummm...my 85 gl wagon with factory fogs did that.(not to burst your bubble)
  4. then what would cause my rpms to drop as soon as i turn them on.when i turn them off rpms go back up. :-\
  5. don't have fog lights but i do have these still haven't aimed em yet due to the fact that the way i have em mounted is kinda loose.not secure an bounce. aim to much towards center.
  6. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=47838 you could check these out.or post in the wanted to buy section of market place
  7. ours pretty much melted here. snowed for a whole day(about 1-2inches) then gone day or two later sucks!!
  8. i was thinking of doing up some lights in the back but when i put on my front aux lights,my rpms drop.lights are 50w hooked up with a relay(wires were there from other set of lights i had)though new lights didn't say it was needed. i assume they're pulling alot off the alt/battery.(cheap walmart battery,i miss my optima yellow top)
  9. does it look like there's enough space between the skid plate an oil pan,to allow for plate to take a small hit without hitting the pan. don't mean to revive an old thread, just wanted to ask question without starting new one. spacing towards the front of pan spacing towards back of pan
  10. i drove a 97 legacy gt wagon awhile back with a hydraulic clutch and can only say this-i'll stick with my cabled clutches thank you.didn't like the feel of the pedal when releasing the pedal. my 94 legacys clutch feels fine.you might have to just get used to it like i did or adjust it. unless yours is hydraulic one then ...i don't know.
  11. an always try to pick the best line.no getting high centered
  12. sure would look good on my legacy i'll make it fit
  13. i took a look at that area of 89 (exit 11 ?) and i saw lots of unpaved roads.plus there looked like a ski area near there along with what looked like a fire trail. i used terra-server and was able to see both topo and aerial pics. i take it,trail was public friendly? (open to public) huh?!
  14. that's how much i paid for 94 leg how'd the bug hold up,i'm sure it'll cost more for the bug to get fixed
  15. providing your tires have tread on them, you should have no problem. are you talking about stuff like this, right if it's your first time taking your subaru out on the trails,i'd take it slow at first.you gotta learn to swim before jumping into the deep-end of the (mud)pool
  16. on the rear-end,there's a label that has the ratio on it. at least on my 94 legacy there is. lay on your belly an slide under the back-end there should be a label like this sorry, kinda a blurry pic
  17. the first winter i had my 94 legacy wagon in,i gave my friend a scare. going through the local dunkin donuts drive through(which was a basic wide u-turn).i did a'lil driftin around the turn.untill i noticed the back end was aiming towards a light pole. :-p awd subarus can be real fun in the snow:banana:
  18. now that's a beautiful looking ute not to mention that front bumper on the outback
  19. you mean it isn't a Cherokee i like it,were did yah get it? i'd like to get one for my wagon
  20. isn't that part of owning a subaru
  21. one thing that i've learned, always check your plugs to make sure they're not loose.for the longest time i thought my valves needed adjustment.turned out that i've been driving around with loose plugs.
  22. about time.
  23. still gonna be in manchester, crystal lake appts nice area and cheaper rent.so it's 5mins from exit 11 off 89. i take it,it's open to the public.i don't have to worry about police giving me a hard time or worse-(fined)? you can give me directions, but i won't be able to go till i got money. it sounds like it's easy to get to though.
  24. man,i gotta get up some extra money for gas an head your way. (sadly i have no money to spear though.) maybe after i move(dec 3rd)
  25. it looks like they have all you need. from manifold to muffler. www.partsamerica.com
