RIP Legacy
ericem replied to ericem's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVX
Thanks guys getting checked out throughout the week. Found out today there is tissue damage etc in my ankle possibly kidney's as well because of other unexpected problems.... I will definitely be looking into another subaru preferably a 05+ legacy, but realistically I will be on the lookout for a immaculate 93-94 Legacy SS silver. -

Of course!! For now probably going to look into a 05+ legacy but I will eventually purchase another Legacy SS silver in very good condition regardless of the price. -

As some people know I got into a pretty big accident. Ill describe what happened around 9pm last night (feb 17th). I was going south on keele left lane, and there was a odyssey ahead of me in the right lane suddenly slowed down and pulled a u turn and I t boned him. He actually attempted a uturn infront of a island too!! I was doing around 80km/h police suggest I was doing less. I actually hit the side of his car and spun him around hitting the side of my car as well so I got hit twice technically. Other driver was charged careless driving. Just looking around the car after we hit was unbelievable could never imagine my car in this shape. It looks worse than it is, rear doors still opened by handle, and driver side door opened but I was kind of week so I just jumped out the passenger side window. I remember people coming out of the nearby buildings coming out omg is the guy in the silver car alright!!!!!!! Im right here.... Another funny note accident happened directly infront of statefarm (my insurance). Went back today . Very important Thank God I was driving a Subaru! I am visually fine a bit sore mainly my left ankle for now...

PCV Disaster!!!

I would get all those pcv parts from the dealer there not expensive. I did the same on my 93 legacy. You can simply cut length wise as you say. About the debree, you can technically flush oil through the line and it will then go into the oil pan. You can probably leave it til next oil change and it will most likely be fine. -
I would replace the rad cap if you find no other leaks as suggested. Probably overheated serverly and she did not notice the temp gauge when the engine overheats the ecu will cut power it is very possible it will shut off completely and not run for a bit atleast till you got there and it cooled down.

It is my understanding that the turbo and non turbo's are not the same ecu harnesses meaning certain sensors are crossed over to other pins so I doubt it would start. Regardless don't be to worried, wire it all up try the ecu if it's a no go, just get another ecu. Either way though you can easily get ahold of another ecu off legacycentral NO problem for cheap.

Squealing noise

you can simply pull the engine forward and leave the ps and ac hooked up. Ive done it multiple times. Drain coolant remove rad, unplug engine wiring harness at the back of motor unclip fuel filter, undo exhaust manifold , undo bell housing bolts engine mount bolts bell housing end dog bone bolt leave the starter. Lift car first put on jackstands when ready to pull engine forward with hoist lift front of trans with a jack till it lifts the motor high enough to pull forward. For the motor hoist attach the chain though the rear passenger side hook on the motor and use remove a bolt from the ac tension bracket to attach chain. The rest is normal procedure just use a breaker car to spin the crank and hold it using the harmonic pulley bolt. -

Guy's on legacycentral would be interested in that 06-07 wrx ic since it works well with first gen legacy's. -

It's pretty obvious if the rpm's shoot up and the speed doesn't. Maybe he alternator/ps belt isn't grabbing not enough electricity XD -

Located where the ecu usually would be but it was removed from the mount.
