  1. Hmm wow no suggestions? Anyway it was my ignition relay after I hit it started up right away.
  2. hey guys trying to figure out Whats wrong with my 94 legacy turbo. When its really cold car will not start only codes i have is purge solenoid. Doesnt seem to be spark tried hitting and touching wires and sensors from maf to igniter and cam to crank sensor. I hear a relay clicking and wondering if there related so any ideas ? Thanks.
  3. Put the rtv on the pan. Dont put to much either. I actually bought a gasket instead you can't get them at the dealership but I think just auto parts places have them like napa. I got mine from autopartsway.com .
  4. Was your oil possibly low? Guess you can't tell now though. What car is it btw?
  5. Are you sure you are reading your dipstick properly? I have done this multiple times the angle of the car and time the car was sitting is crucial for reading the dipstick properly.
  6. Definitely a good idea!! Realistically you can start it let it run for 30seconds and than drive away, just do not accelerate hard, high rpm etc atleast until the temp gauge begins to move, still don't rip on the car till it is fully warmed up.
  7. Thanks! Yup definitely should have made the switch earlier, but the 3rd tranny was the best tranny, but the front differential seized! It was probably the best driving auto out of all my transmissions and the damn front diff seizes! Failures have arranged from lost of 1-4 randomly and getting no drive, with no working awd on atleast 2 trannies, and torque converter failure and of course the front differential seizing! Keep in mind each tranny except the seized differential(stock power) failed with td04 intercooled at 16psi tuned.
  8. Well in all honesty before I swapped my 94 SS to 5spd I did alot of stuff you wouldn't NORMALLY do with your autotragic. Including in D full throttle full boost 4-5k launches. Rocking 5spd now and loving it car is like day and night! Think about it this way it took me 4 auto's to swap it to 5spd.
  9. best ting wit auto is wen i hold the break and floor it and let go of brek and it goes eeeeerrrrrrrrr
  10. But another deck is it a 2" din?? Many nice decks out there that will sound just as good if not better for example my car
  11. yes should work very well i run castrol 0w 30 in my 94 legacy turbo doesnt consume oil engine sounds very good. 0w doesnt mean its thinner just at lower temperatures stays the same.
  12. haha I was annoying when I was like 13? I was pretty angry reading my own posts from 4 years ago sorry manarius I was a dumb kid I guess, today I would say it is most likely a wheel bearing fyi
  13. turn up the bass on the headunit. It should be on all the time anyway though also I think there is a fuse on the sub.
  14. That is the sub indeed!! see https://www.subarugenuineparts.com/product_info.php?cPath=32_37&products_id=44
  15. this morning it worked perfectly when cold once it warned up back to the same thing i have a bottle and a half of trans x. Now i noticed its leaking may have overfilled it.
  16. Thanks for all the advice. Got back from a trip and got to work on the car noticed the oil pan was dinged in quiete noticeably. Pulled it off looked at the shift linkage as suggested by gloyale and banged out he oil pan, cleaned the magnet and rest of pan then put it all back together. Tranny works! guess the pan was restricting flow through the strainer. How much damage could this have caused though? Reason I ask is when I accelerate or put it in D and R it is very delayed and even after it has caught D it still acts like I have a high stall torque converter. Shifts are slow and don't catch fast, and when it's locked up definitely doesn't hold nicely. Thinking this killed the pump in the transmission what do you guys think? I am thinking 5spd swap ASAP!!
  17. i added probably 7l and it appeared fine now i didnt fill the torque converter is it possible there is a issue priming? Also the shift fork on the tranny was cracked so i swapped it from my tranny and i used the impact yet when i tightened it the for whipped over to the right not sure if that could have damaged anything debating pulling the pan.
  18. another issue replaced the tranny and i know it worked in the last car it will not do anything in any gear selection goes into park and comes out but everything else does not engage poured in tranny fluid yet still nothing at all. Any ideas now with this ? Theres no weird sounds torque converter should be seated fine no strange noises really disappointed now.
  19. Brought the car home. Definitely not the rear diff. I tried spinning each wheel one by one in neutral seems fine. Sometimes if I put it in D or R with the car in a certain position makes grinding sounds etc.. I am thinking broken tooth in the front diff as well, remember this is not torque bind I can still turn without it binding, but in a straight line or moving in general car is bucking. This is not another zomg eye has torx bind thread lol. Can a axle actually do this though? I am hoping it can!!!!!! Going to take a look tomorrow I have had a axle clicking for many many months now.
  20. I tried putting the FWD fuse in last night did nothing. Is it possible the transfer case broke? im hoping it is simply the rear diff though since its much easier to take apart. I can still repair the transfer case though.
  21. Hey guys, I have my car parked at my friends house trying to figure out wtf happened, but when the car is rolling it is binding, locking up, and bucking! Its reallly bad, it happened all of a sudden as well, I can't even tell if my awd still works because it is very scary when I accelerate! Its a 94 SS auto, quiete a few months ago replaced the tranny and the transfer case, however the awd is very delayed and possibly could have shocked it. Is it possible the transfer case broke like the gears etc?? I really need to get this fixed ASAP had a long road trip planned even bought new brakes and booked a alignment I can get the car towed thinking ill use a friends shop and take apart the transfer case I have a parts tranny I can get from a friend. Hoping it is just the transfer case. Any other suggestions or opinions to help get this resolved BEFORE friday night would be WELL appreciated!!
  22. allows you to start in 2nd gear so if you put manual switch on, and you put gear lever in 2nd it will take off from that gear for traction situations. If you need to shift out of park (solenoid died, or need to roll car without keys) push the button then you can shift out of park.
  23. Possibly the pressure plate sounds like. Otherwise might as well just replace everything while it's apart.
