  1. Here's an idea. If you have something to say just say it. We really do not need any of the rhymes and acid laden sentences to try to figure out.
  2. Hello all. We are looking for tips, suggestions and ideas for the next show. Please direct all messages to pm's. It will be easier to log them that way. Thanks for ALL your ideas!!
  3. No need Skip, unlike most of these folks you have a life outside of Subaru and aren't here every waking minute of every day. I merged this with the last posting of this. PM has been sent. I am not a huge fan of the finished product. However, the amount of work and attention to detail is incredible. Some people just can't see the trees for the forest.

What do you intend to do after you install a cage? Is this for Rally, rallyX or just for the fun(safety) of it?
  5. SCCA is the sanctioning body for RallyX. Check the SCCA site for your area(or area's near you) for info.
  6. Someone has to do it!! There is a wiring diagram for it in the manual I think as well.
  7. And for $6-7.00 you can get the OEM filter and crush ring. NGK's are definitely the plugs of choice. Another vote for Castrol.
  8. You need the light. Unbolt the whole thing. The switch plus the plug and as much wiring as you can pull. The relay. Which is mounted on the passenger side strut tower and all the wiring from the relay to the light. You have to pull it from the harness. But it fairly easy to do. If any of the three things is missing it makes the install quite a bit more difficult. Also, the grill is needed for the pattern to cut out the other grill.
  9. I was the first to fit a cyclops to a honeycomb grill. Here is the Hatch and the Brat I did it to.
  10. Good point. This was purely hypothetical.
  11. That sounds cool. Take some pics!!
  12. Typical, found that most people there did not know that the down hill vehicle needs to pull to the shoulder. Gravity will get you out of most things you can get into. Scoobyclimbs is very correct in his summation of the day. So many people that were there were so unprepared that if something had gone wrong someone may have died up there. I lost count of the number of rigs with street tires that were stuck in less than 6" of snow. And not all were 2wd's. Oh well, at least we were prepared and ready to help those we came upon. Remember, never turn your back on a stuck rig. The next one you see may be yours. Thanks again for the loaner Rob. It was fun to drive a big Hatchback again. Made me miss my old one. Thanks for the pics and story Brian. And thanks to all that came along this year. I hope you had fun and maybe learned something as well. Ken
  13. Is this a Subaru only trip or will other's be allowed? Eric may be interested in going.
  14. Search the for sale forum. Edrach, baccaruda and others have some for sale right now. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/search.php?searchid=355245
  15. That shouldn't be a surprise as they are the same platform. But working @ Aarons you probably already knew that!
  16. A fun time. 10 cars/trucks and lot's of snow and trees. Many stuck unprepared rigs to deal with though.
  17. How did you hit the curb? From what angle? Without seeing it, it sounds like you bent the radius(strut) rod. Very fixable. You also more than likely twisted the lower control arm. These do not have A-arms. Less than $20 at almost any junk yard and you'll be back on the road. Can you get a pic or two showing the damage to be sure?
  18. Welcome Charlie!! BTW, the only way to make us look over our shoulders is to move to M4. Otherwise, it is just for fastest time of the day!! lol I think I may have to finally buy a "new" set of tires also. Ken
  19. They were down to half of their allotment(2000). They should have one but I can't guarrantee it.
  20. If you'd prefer to bring the GL I do have a full set of 13" studded tires I was going to put up on the board for sale. I will make you an unrefusable deal for them. And they're are on wheels. Call it the get even deal for the show!!
  21. Greg, I was going to call you and give you a personal invite. Are you free for it?
  22. I added the update. It is currently snowing in Greenwater and will continue through out the week.
  23. I added the update. Snow is currently falling in Greenwater so there will be more on the ground by Saturday.
