  1. My suggestion: Choose a random group of Beta testers and make a short 1-2 chapter Pilot. Make any changes you see necessary based on your beta feedback. If well done, this is a great idea. I would gladly purchase both a beginner and advanced set. I firmly believe in having every resource available. There is always something in one book or video that isn't in another. Caleb
  2. Absolutely. Smoothed out my idle and helps keep my digidash under control. I wish I had spent the money on one of the cool bright green kits. I hear those are good for 35+HP
  3. I read it before it was changed.. My butt doesn't hurt. Did I miss something?
  4. Any time you turbo an NA motor and drive it the way it is supposed to be driven, it will be fun. Just make sure you either have a spare motor or the car isn't your daily driver, or both
  5. In the original post, it refers to a Subaru model (prsumable meaning 'standard') Its also a common english acronym for 'sexually transmitted disease'
  6. You boys keep your STDs to yourselves:mad:
  7. true, the USDM STi puts out a stock 300/300 The newer (V6 and up ) EJ207 comes near that right out of the box, but with forged internals and supposedly, a better fuel system.
  8. Sounds like you have a case of old car saggy suspension starting. The problem sounds like it might be made worse by aftermarket / non subaru wheels. Soobs have a funky offset. Even using Stock Subaru Wheels after my 5 lug conversion, I had to roll the rear fender lips. Have you considered that as an option?
  9. Added suggestion. A number of the WRX/STi people around here are using an E85 mixture in their Subarus. Couple of gallons to a tank E85/93 octane mixture.. Substantially higher octane rating. Perhaps the math could work out with a Regular/E85 mixture.
  10. I wa there a few months ago. I haven't gotten over there in the past 5 years as often as I used to. But when I need peace and quiet, quite often thats where I head. My mother grew up there and I still have a bit of family in the area, so you never know when I might turn up there (though of late it has been mostly for funerals and such )
  11. We finally have people in Ellensburg? SWEET!
  12. Depends on what you want, where you want to get it and how much you want to pay. May try a turbo truck forum for your application... And its not nice to yell. Thanks
  13. Time for a real turbo and you'll be set:banana: Really though. Thats a nice RX.
  14. Nope, all post mortem info at this point is strictly conjecture. I have opened the hood twice since it blew up. Both times to show my custom IC y pipe. The car is still sitting in the driveway outside the garage bay it usually lives in. When it blew up I was about 3 miles from home and I said hell with it and drove it till it dropped. Namely, the last 3 miles home. It stopped in the driveway:clap:
  15. Nope. EA81 used the 4 speed EA82 used the 5 speed, which can be swapped in. Dunno if Andy covered it above, but remember to get a new gas tank with the diff dent in it.
  16. SOunds like the way my high compression turbo motor was acting before it assploded. oil freakin everywhere. +1 for blowby and boost leakage into the crankcase.
  17. After the exchange rate it still only comes out to be 200-300 USD
  18. Another, cheaper option is to clear the codes, run it and see if they all come back.
