  1. drats, just barely made it into the 36-45 bracket... only like 45 more days and I'm 37, so making my way through that bracket nicely... d'oh! you're only as old as the women you feel... so I'm actually 26... w00p! --Spiffy
  2. love the floor mats and gravity sticker! good coat of mud on there too... where did you cut the fenders? I can't tell from the pics... --Spiffy
  3. sounds like a good plan... my '82 is bone stock too, but that doesn't mean I'm not willing to beat it up a bit... (: let me know, pm or start a thread... as long as it's not friday june 8... --Spiffy
  4. holy huge snowdrifts, batman! seriously, I don't think I've ever seen a snow drift that tall, especially one that was solid enough to drive up on... crazy! looks like a lot of fun though... --Spiffy
  5. man, I could really use a n00b run to work my skills... but it's way up there... need some mellow runs in the portland area... --Spiffy
  6. nice view! do you have the gps coordinates? wonder if there are any geocaches out there in those woods... --Spiffy
  7. I like that it's plural... how many do we get for $300? still in choice of black or white? and yeah, what about bumpers? --Spiffy
  8. cool oblong rockers, and clean job... but you lost your stash spot! --Spiffy
  9. nice! looks just like when I was up there last month... lots of forest to explore... --Spiffy
  10. I have those toyo spectrums on my 88 turbo wagon... they work good and aren't too expensive... but I don't go that fast very often... I have directional tread tires on the impreza, those things make water disappear... they've got that V design that takes the water and moves it out of the tire... I had similar tires on my Leggy GT and they were awesome... the directional ones will cost you more, but worth it if you go fast in the wet a lot... --Spiffy
  11. yeah, that axle lock looks like a great idea... but I'm wondering if it could stand up to wheeling... would be nice to have a locked rear and use that to get to the trails... --Spiffy
  12. your best bet would be to buy a turbo wagon that was rear-ended so you could take all the parts and swap them to your car... but really, the EA82 is a lot more reliable than the EA82T... and if you really want to do a lot of work on your car then just get an EJ22 (and all associated parts) from a legacy or early impreza and use that... if you really, really want the turbo it'd probably be better to just stick a regular EA82 in your car, sell it, then buy a stock turbo wagon... --Spiffy
  13. wow, that thing is seriously muddy... good job! --Spiffy
  14. that looks like loads of fun... and it'll be easy to pull those dents out... I seriously need to lift my '82 wagon... that foot of snow would have probably stopped me... of course, if I had another vehicle with me I'd at least give it a try... nothing a shovel, jack, and rope can't resolve... (: --Spiffy
  15. those are all really generic just using different fonts... at least McBrat puts some effort into them to make them look stylish... --Spiffy
  16. sweet! I want to see the write-up of all the mods they did to the hatch... --Spiffy
  17. I've never even heard of these things, but now I want one! I've been eyeing scooters in general for the last couple years... never knew that fuji made one... awesome! --Spiffy
  18. on mine I just disconnected the hoses from the engine end (keeping them attached to the heater core end so I had some hose to work with) and put the garden hose up to one end... I didn't have the pressure up very high, and when I started to get a lot of resistance I'd back off and switch to the other hose and do it again... it didn't really move the first few times... but after going back and forth from inlet to outlet more and more gunk started coming out... once I was getting good water flow I could hold the garden hose right up to the heater hose for more pressure and pushing erosion action... and not to hijack the thread... GD, what is wrong with doing it on an ea81? is there something like a 1-way valve in there? bad for the flow control flapper thing? --Spiffy
  19. is your hill holder enabled? it might be holding the brakes on if it's out of alignment... have you tried starting from level ground without using your brakes at all? --Spiffy
  20. hehe, I was thinking the same thing, on both fronts... --Spiffy
  21. check their other auctions... jump seats, center lamp, tow hitch, they got some goodies! --Spiffy
  22. that rocks! too bad it's not '81-'82... but close enough that I could use it for reference once it's done... --Spiffy
  23. turn the temp to hot, but leave the fan off... let it warm up... once it's warmed up turn the fan on and see how hot the air is... does the air get cooler or stay at the same temp? if the air gets cooler then you probably have a clogged core... disconnect your heater hoses and run low pressure garden hose water through it... low pressure so you don't blow anything... if the temp is a constant luke-warm then you may have a cable out of adjustment... you can remove the air controls from the dash and on the left side of the slider area is where the cable clamps down... if that slipped it may not be opening all the way to let enough warm air through... --Spiffy
  24. got to User CP (top left of screen), then Edit Avatar... you'll have to suffer with "New User" for a while... after a few hundred posts check the Edit Profile page and you'll have the option to change your "Custom User Title"... oh, and this post should have gone into Site Help and Suggestions... no sweat... --Spiffy
