I'm a bit confused,, as is normal,,, anyway, every website I have went to say repetedly that LPG for use in auto's is not the same as propaine used in gas grills and buffers and such. ???? also,, I saw a website that sells a spare tire shaped propain taink that fits in the pare tire storage area, I wounder if that would be safe in the engine compartment of a subaru???

  6. Sorry for my poor use of wording, i ment the actual tie rod sence the ball joint is included is part of the rod. I'm really bad at using the wrong terms to discribe things, but thats just my NC education

  9. good question,,:-\ I was thinking the "slop" or losenes in the steering linkage was due to the inner tie rod ends,, the outer rod ends checked out fine. Maybe I should consider a completely rebuilt rack. I can get one for $195 http://www.carsteering.com

  11. thank you for the sugestions. Crawled up under the subee today,, thanks to an almost completely gone rod boot, I could see wich one it was. This for an 85/86 GL wagon with manual steering. Thanks to all for their input:)
  12. Ok, so im looking for tie rods for my 86 wagon... However the vender is showing two kinds of tie rods for the same application. Any sugestions,,, besides removing my old ones first? and

  14. this photo by Andrew Harvey shows that he is an experianced photographer,, he used a telephoto lens with a fast/wide apature to frerze the shot while limiting the depth of field( blurry bush in front) And he made good use of a polarising filter in order to take the glare off the windshield,,,, in other words..... Great picture!!

  16. just make sure you put them on all 4 wheels. important to keep the tire diamiters the same in order not to mess up the 4wd durring street use.

  18. thats the KEY,,, If you get a guy who really knows his stuff, then things seem to work out better,, however ,, if you get some guy who is just there for the Job,,, then ,, your going to have problems,, I have experianced the same sort of crap from AdvanceAuto
  19. I have a lose knock in my front end,. I thought it was the struts so i replaced them,,, no effect,,,,,bearings, OK,,,,, ball joints, OK,,, turns out it is the inner tie rod joints on the steering rack.
  20. HUMMM,,,, How about an subaru Horizontaly Opposed Diesel,,,, that would be cool! call it the Subaru H.O.D. just imagin the gass milage!

  22. If in doubt,,,, take one of your "nuts" to the auto parts store and buy 4 sets of shinny new mag nuts.. then you will have new "nuts" and the girls will love you... :-p
  23. How are the fins on the radiator??? An A/C tech here told me once that the slightest mash on the fins affects the radiators efficiancy
