  1. Did ya ever get that electric fan installed?
  2. The ones that blow are designed to mount on the front of the Radiator. I'ver run into this problem also
  3. Well I finally got some pics back of the path around the lake. These pics are from about a week later (2nd time though:grin: ). most of the water is gone. Can you imagine all that being covered in water! I still am amazed the subee made it though without a hitch! that day i became real impressed with subaru products;) going in comming out Sorry I didn't take a picture in the middle of it , but , there's no way i was going to stop or take my hads off the steering wheel:lol:
  4. I Love the Geaolander! but it's way coslty , and I can't find it in a R15 at 27 or under:(
  5. I agree, modular went bad in my new Ford Ranger. I thought for sure it I had screwwd up the engine , truns out AT fluid was being sucked up into my intake manafold. but usally, if the modular is that bad, it wont go into gear for about a minute in the morning. I also agree with the possibility that AT fluid may be leaking on to the exaust at the Governor cover only to burn off after a hour of use. I have had that happen also.
  6. Hey Dr. Is ther a little sensor or meter that sticks out on your AC compressor that now sits so close to the Radiator that even an electric fan will not fit there?
  7. That dealer is here on the coast of NC and he carries alot of used tires at a pretty good price, and suprisingly alot of snow tires eventhough it doesn't snow much here on the coast
  8. turn the rims inside out :-p Seriously, how much would you have to grind off the bolts? I think a 1/16th would be acceptable Would the small contact area betwine the small washers and the drum be a sorce of increased sheer forces on the lugs? Just a thought

  10. Well now that I have the 4" lift I am going to put 225/70R15 tires on 15x7 inch wagon wheel rims. ( slightly shorter and wider then 215/75R15 ) Which of these tires would you go for and why? Dunlop SP60 $56 each http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Dunlop&tireModel=SP+60&vehicleSearch=false&partnum=27SR5SP60&fromCompare1=yes Kumho Venture AT $59 a tire BF Goowrich Radial T/A $67 a tire Bridgestone Dueler H/T $80 a tire Goodyear Ultra-grip $81 a tire If you guys know of any simi-agressive tires in a 225/70-15 feel free to tell me:) The reason I wan't this tire size and average tread is ... 1. I want the largest tire I can get without trimming the finder. 2.I am running 7 inch wide rims and don't want the tires to look "pointy" or under sized. 3.Don't want to spend over $80 a tire if possible. 4. Don't wan't them to be way noisey on the road boy, all that ^ makes me sound like a spoiled brat:lol:All sugestions aprreciated Thank you very much dave P.S. check out these very agressive small tires from an Italian site http://www.pneusborra.it/sterrato.htm <in as small as a 195-15 <in as small as a 195-15 or a 205/70-15 Humm:rolleyes:
  11. Have you knoticed,,,, when anyone mentions finding a Brat in good shape,,,, its almost always in arizona.......:-\
  12. Yeah I knoticed that when I adjusted the shocks back down in the rear I actually gained more clearance at the lower part of the wheel well buy the back door and rocker panel. Interstingly it rides smoother now, but my shock sqweek is back
  13. that's great! I was going to jump on my front end this afternoon but i decided to grab a bowl of homemade spegetti , and i filled up big time ,, that took the mechanic right out of me. feel like a beached whale. Maybe tomarrow;)
  14. Ah , I better jump on that then. thanks I might buy that 3"differential lowering adapter from SRJ too.
  15. Hey I just finished the back too. It was surprisingly easy:banana: Sounds like i am going to have some problems tomarrow:lol: Air tools help, but, one tool that is an absolute must is a Radio!
  16. Ok I'm putting on the lift as I write this. First of many questions. Should I dial the shocks and struts back down to the lowest setting now?
  17. HEY Just got my Kit today! Everything was packed nice and tight. Im going to reread the directions and all the posts here in the hopes i can lower the problems I may incounter durring instalation. I have just one sugestion for the kit thus far. Instead of just R and L stamped on the strut blocks maybe stamp DR for drivers side and PAS for passenger side. This may aliviate some instaltion issues, because Right and Left are really relative to where one is standing or sitting. (Learned that from Albert and Costello) Just a sugestion, not a complaint Thanks, Dave
