Your fender cutting solution? pic's if possible please
FirstSubaruGLwagon replied to FirstSubaruGLwagon's topic in Off Road
thats great! bending and folding makes the fender stronger it that area. I explored the idea of bending the metal , but all I had were vice-grips', and practice on a spare peice of metal yealded crapy results.. Now if i would have had a pare of metal shapeing plyers, then it would have been a different story. -
thanks

yeah,, and I think really after initial investment ,, it could help anyone to save money,,, if it is done safely,, I have already been reading some reaserch books on it.. and it looks like the best area to start (in my case) , is to start with MIG welding. it seems more compact and I have been told its easer to run a beed, and weld sheet metel, also from what I read, it produces less fumes. What do you think scott?

Wheel Bearing Spacer *FIXED*
FirstSubaruGLwagon replied to Seahag1978's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
i thought it was funny that when I swaped my A/S extr-trec 13" tires with my 18" liberators A/T,, the noise actualy got softer! I figure there must have been two reasons for this: 1 The wheeel hubs ar now about 6" further away from the body of the car. 2 The backspacing change on the rims caused the load to change on the bearings. Just waiting for the noise to come back with a vengance, or for my wheels to fall off. -
wern't they called jeepenys ?
