  1. Hello Spinnaker, this is the Jib, I may be furling!! Tighten' up man. Check to make sure you plugged in all the connections and did not knacker the large vacuum line. If you put some fuel down the throttle body does it fire for a short period?
  2. JoAnne hit's the nail on the head for you. Listen to her, she knows much more than most guys that "think they know" do. I would add the the outer pads have a tendency to hang up in their slides. The tabs (ears) tend to rust at their contact points with the outer caliper bracket. Using a file, I always clean this area and apply a very judicious coating of antisieze on the ears. As a side note sir, we do not know the type of Subaru you drive. Different models have different problems sometimes. It sure helps to note the year, model, engine, mileage ect. Thanks and hope this helps.
  3. "Show me a good kit" I'll add "at a somewhat reasonable price..." A good set of Hellas aimed properly and wired properly. Do me just fine for now.
  4. The one on my Oh Bee is fiberglass I believe. If you want I'll get some shots of how it mounts. For my man Porc Wagons away!!!
  5. "the results of a few different retrofit kits" show me these "kits" "none had to replace the lense" The reflector assembly is more important but the lens does play a roll in some circumstances.
  6. I have had/have the model on your maroon wagon on several of my GL wagons. The dust deflector looks even different.?? Thanks for the good job, you are my mentor. (I like the first picture of your three wagons-- fine stable you have there)
  7. He needs to resize so the screen is not over run on most of our monitors. Sorry, if you did the link in the post this would be evident.
  8. Thanks Porc, I sit corrected I think. The picture almost looks like it has an opening in the center of it. (like a trunk mounted normal spoiler would) Mine has no such opening?? But YIKES 369 greenies!!
  9. If I run across one of those mythical Australian toilets ( toilets flushing in the opposite direction ) I'm standing way back when I pull the lever.
  10. CF you say "I have the proper housings now." Care to elaborate on this? Manufacturer, model, link?
  11. CF I will assume you mean true HID "High Intensity Discharge" The ones requiring a ballast and other parts? NOT the cheesy so called "HID lamps" people think are way kewl?? The real ones do throw a lot of light and must be reflectored and aimed properly for this reason.
  12. My non-LTD Oh Bee has one also I have heard it refered to as a "wind deflector" I think they were an option item. Possibly dealer installed?
  13. Porcupine, do you know if this engine has bucket shims for valve adj.? While your in there, locktiteing the bolts on the back of the oil pump come to mind.
  14. Excellent link OB99 - thanks. and Like always When it comes from Porcupine THE SPIN STOPS HERE!
  15. Thanks again. Good suggestion. Last time I had the lower panel off to instal the remote start, I remember it being real crowded up there. Deffintly worth a shot though.
  16. Thanks Wayd, I never thought about that. I wonder if it just SNAPs off. I don't like the sound of that. Thanks again for the reply and the caution.
  17. Guru, please take a moment and read this post. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=83975
  18. I need to change the lamps in the dash switches. I hope??? they just snap out? Can any one tell me if the wiring connector needs removed first? or Will they pop out far enough to disconnect the wireing connector.
  19. do you know how many Subarus I could buy if I had that sort of "ching" floating around!!
  20. Ya think so??? From one of the Porcupine's excellent links The SSMIII Standalone (Complete) Kit can be ordered through SPX Kent-Moore by using part number J-48621. Price is $2588.00, and includes a software subscription for one year from date of purchase. Note: Prices subject to change without notice.
  21. Thanks Andy!! That guy has his poop in a pile FO SHO!!! Wheel travel might be an issue, sure does nice work though.
  22. What ever floats your boat sir. We here do not condone by-passing any safety devise that could cause harm to you or others. I am pretty sure I will not be alone in this feeling. We would like to help you fix the fuel system the way Subaru intended if you want.
  23. sounds like the starter solenoid contacts want replaced. We don't see may Justys but if it has the same set up as our cars, it's a pretty common problem. You can change them if you are so inclined.
