  1. That is a nice one! I like the white hatch's!
  2. Any new progress?
  3. Check for bent rim. Also do you have bad tire wear?Like more wear on any certain part of the tire?Rotors might be warped on your brakes causing it to shake a little when braking. But first check your rims and make sure that they aren't out of balance.
  4. I would first get your new panels and do your rust prevention and then I would go over the under side of the body with spray on bed liner stuff.I am now adicted to the stuff.Works great.
  5. What the heck is a frantz? Maybe I am dumb and just don't know.
  6. Most likely the answer to your question would be no you do not need any type of engine control on that engine. Most likely since you are running an ea81 or ea82 it is carbed and you can do away with most of that emission control crap.I used to live in soldotna,Ak and I did something similar on my brothers old sube.If you can it would be worth while to convert your stock carb over to a weber 32/36dgev.Lot less problems to face when you are in the middle of no where like any part of Alaska can be.Good luck.
  7. Engine looks nice.Gotta love the flameage action!
  8. Nice job! I would love to see that one first hand.
  9. That would have been my first suggestion is a new radiator.Makes a huge difference. My hatch is an '86 as well and I changed the radiator almost imediately after I got the car. That is one of the problem areas on older cars due to age.Good luck.
  10. I like those little RV6's they are a solid little plane.
  11. Hey Shawn so what are your plans for the turbo traction wagon?
  12. Thanks you guys! I really had a great time checking out DrKrazy's car also! Nothing needs to be said much about 2wd Lo in the sedan besides that it rocks! I can't wait to get a lift. McBrat-Do you think it would be hard to replicate the long decal graphic along the length of the car?It is a little sun cracked and I wondered what you thought about that?
  13. Here are some pictures of my hatch along with DrKrazy(Keith's) car. He was kind enough to take the pictures for me.Thanks again Keith! http://subaru.kacsh.com/jerry/jerry.html BTW- McBrat in one of the pictures you can see the decal that you made on DrKrazy's rig.Really looks nice on his car!
  14. You could hook your lights through a relay and that will help a little bit.
  15. Very very nice! That is really cool! What type of scoop is that?
  16. That's the nicest convertible I have ever seen!
  17. Are you planning on putting fun tops on your hatch?Or would they just get in the way with the roof basket in place?I am entertaining the though of putting the functional rally roof scoop from primitive racing on my car, what do you think? Also are you going to leave your car that color or paint it white with srx decals?
  18. To keep them out in the future put some screens inside the vent.Make sure they are metal. -Or the other alternative is to have a smokebomb on hand and let it fumigate them out.Although your car would stink and fumigate you out as well.
  19. What type of rims are those on that beige hatch?I haven't seen those before.
  20. Heck ya that would be!I have always wanted to build one.
  21. I am dying to hear your plans for your hatch. Are you doing a 5" lift like on your red brat,or are you going solid axle and t-case?Looks like you have a really nice rig. Also 6-lug or pugs? Also I really like the roof basket you have on there.I have a yakima rack also and have often wondered what a basket would look like on a hatch and you answered my question. Also what does your wife think of your new toy?
  22. Glad to hear.Roughly how long of a trip is that?I sometimes go through Iowa to go visit my relatives that live in Minnesota.Let me know if you have any need for more parts.
  23. Before pulling it apart check your filters.I think you will find that to be the problem.Don't forget the one by the fuel pump.Good luck.
  24. Good luck on your trip.Feel free to stop here in colorado if ya want.
  25. Very nice job!!!That is really great! That brat is a beaute:)
