  1. That is what I think would be a big help with trailability.Like the others said:gearing or different diff stuff.
  2. That should look really nice tucked under your hatch. How much of a lift are you planning on?
  3. If you would like a little more power,a pretty popular swap is to put a ea81 in its place.Pretty much a direct drop in.But yes you can still get parts for the ea71 if you would rather stick with that engine.
  4. That thing looks really sweet Scott.Any new updates? Also is it easier to drive around over stuff since it is stripped down quite a bit?Really nice rig! PS- This is my 1000th post!
  5. I agree.I usually go by feel of the engine for when I shift, and occasionally go by the tach.
  6. If you put it in a T-coupe that would be sweet. If you need a ej22t instead of the n/a there is one at blakes auto salvage in erie. That would rock as well!
  7. That sounds like a cool project Luvmybrat!I agree it would be a nice sleeper.
  8. How many miles on your legacy?Grab the axle with both hands and see if you can feel any slop.I would recomend going with OE replacement axles directly from subaru.Although there may be local shops that the subaru dealer would recomend in your area that could offer some type of warranty on the rebuild.
  9. Looks nice.Your dog looked happy as well. Also I might add that, the herculiner works well in the fenderwell areas also and on skid plates!Nice job!
  10. Yep what he said.So it's a WBR fmic? I have always wanted a FMIC for my weber carb.
  11. I like the gold shifter. That should give you another 10hp:-p Also I do like that slammed brat quite a bit!
  12. Nice pictures. Some of those scenery shots look alot like certain parts of colorado.
  13. Hey Pil,glad you posted a pic of Toms hatch. The thing was really nice to see.I also really liked the l.e.d. conversion for the tail lights. Those super swampers looked great up close! BTW- I was glad to see quite a few of you off of the board. Also nice to see Shawns Vanagon made it there!Cheers:drunk:
  14. Where u going Jeff? Also sorry guys but I will not be able to get to this meet.I will have to see you all some other time.
  15. That is pretty cool! That is like finding a needle in a hay stack.
  16. Sweet! That is the spittin' image of mine minus the roof rack! The only other thing mine has that is different is that it has a strip of decal running down the length of it.Very nice hatch.
  17. Krieky mate those are some huge pics! Do you need to get a new head or do you think that one is ok?
  18. I need to move back west for a while so I can get in on the action.
  19. Sorry to hear that Jeff.I guess the only engine that is halfwase doable is the ea81 or ea71.I know that is all I have had experience with myself besides helping someone with an ea82 when I was like 15.I don't know of anyother tips to give you.I know that the er27 is basically the ea82 just more cylinders.Looks alot harder because of the more girth it has.
  20. I agree with blitz.I know it may sound hard to believe that it may be off one tooth, but it can happen and will make a big difference.
