  1. I hope you are getting the engine sorted out. After chatting with you on the phone I am still stumped on what you should try next.
  2. I love that color! That wagon looks terrific. Makes me want an old skoolie car again!
  3. You will probably have to make one out of some silicone hose couplers and aluminum pipe parts. The old turbo inlets are getting very hard to find in decent condition so fabbing your own is going to be the quickest and maybe cheapest option.
  4. Just use '05 mls sti headgaskets. Works great with the ej22 heads on a ej25 block. No complaints from any of these I have done.
  5. I have always used aircraft paint stripper. It is safe on aluminum where as alot of them you can't be too sure.
  6. I like your new project car! Let me know if you are ever looking for parts I may be able to help.
  7. (Insert baked alaskan joke here) Glad you are good. Things happen when least expected. The progress looks great.
  8. Sounds really cool. Care to share some pictures?
  9. Looks good guys. However, don't forget to leave the intake ports a tad on the rough side to aid volumetric efficiency.
  10. Good work man! I like your attention to detail with your body work. All your hard work will pay off for sure.
  11. Very interesting to hear peoples ideas. I will do a little more research and then find out what seems to work.
  12. Thanks for posting that. It is very interesting. I have one of those intake manifolds with the water cross over pipe being integrated into the manifold itself.
  13. Was it dragging or something? Just wondered if there was a tell tale hot mark?
  14. Steelies are by far the lightest of all. Especially with years of rust to flake off.
  15. Direct drop in to your '95 leggy. I have '04 wrx seats in my '92 tleg. No issues at all. Just bolt in.
  16. What pitch are you running on that prop? I am assuming fixed pitch prop correct? I think if you are running the weber carb on that engine it should be plenty powerful and not necessary to conver to fuel injection.
  17. Half the thrill is in the hunt I feel. Good find.
  18. Nice Zeke! Way to take the justy on the trails. Where did you go to get those pictures?
  19. Forester strut/spring conversion may be what you are looking for.
  20. Don't make it too nice. Leave room for duct tape.:-p But seriously it sounds like a fun project.
  21. Just look at the way those rods are bent. Pretty weird. Poor ea81 block.
  22. Welcome . Good looking subie. Got to get some bfg mtr's on that thing and go tear up some mud. I am not as familiar with your neck of the woods but I grew up in soldotna. If you are ever down towards anchor point or ninilchik on the kenai peninsula be sure to go try the trails in the caribou hills. They are a blast.
  23. I have seen some water pumps survive on those up to around 200,000 miles. Also do the timing belt on that engine just like doing an ej22. They aren't too prone to head gasket failure compared to the ej251. They do quite well if you put some coolant conditioner in the system and keep the coolant fresh.
