  1. Turn the block upside down and there will be letters stamped on the block halves. They will tell you what piston goes where. A=A, B=B ect. The lettering is way subaru marked the pistons to go with the bores so they fit properly. You don't have to worry about pistons going in a certain side on the ea81's compared to the ej series that are marked side specific.
  2. Good job for showing that super cool coupe some love! That thing is sweet. I like the exhaust too.
  3. I have a justy as well. Mine is a white '89 2 door. Where in colorado are you? I am in wheatridge. The best you could do for parts is to check out the local junkyards. If you don't know where they are then just ask and I will give you directions.
  4. I have never had to any tail light bulb replacements like you just said but I believe you are on the right track. Probably no external screws on it correct? Just have to take that nut off as you said and it should reveal itself.
  5. Well now that does it. I am for sure taking a trip to australia to go backpacking or something. Good shots. Looks fun.
  6. Hey Ferox that looks really good! Gives me a little more nudging that I need to rebuild my justy engine too! Good job!
  7. I like your big sedan. Never been to those sand dunes.
  8. Mick, if you want some cool SS braided lines let me know. I can get you some custom ones made up for about $30 a side for the fronts and about the same for the rears. Just an option.
  9. You have my attention. This looks like a cool project when it all comes together.
  10. What car are you working on? If it is a ea81 or ea82 you can disconnect the lower shock/strut mount to let you get some more movement out of it. Also disconnecting the trailing arm may help with that as well.
  11. Looks really good! Especially next to that full size bronco.
  12. It is cool when your wife gets down and dirty and helps pull wiring harness parts and knows how to tell a hitachi from a weber.
  13. Sent you a pm about what I think it could be mudman.
  14. The subaru disease seems to be infecting you just as much as me.
  15. Ya it could be that or it could be the lash on the trans needs to be adjusted again on the front stub axles.
  16. F'in wow mate! Can you help me do that same swap to a hatch? :slobber:
  17. Zippy looks to have met the back side of a hedge a couple times looking from the greens in his teeth.
  18. Now that I want to see! Good luck with that.
  19. Can I come? I would really love to come out and meet you guys sometime.
  20. Cool! I am mostly interested in what it would take to put ej or xt6 rear brake along with ej front brake / suspension setup on the front on the ea81 chassis. I have dreams of a terrible subaru in a good way!
  21. Bump for more info. Alot of the old info has been lost prior to the usmb site update.
