  1. Scouts are a blast. I have a few good memories wheeling on some good muddy trails in Alaska.
  2. Don't forget that the '97 ej22 is single port exhaust compared to the earlier dual port phase 1 ej22. No doubt that is shouldn't be that bad but maybe it needs some tlc.
  3. What color was the brat? Did it have bed liner type stuff on the hood? It may be the one I put a weber on for the guy that owns it last year. If it is tan colored body and is around a '82 year then that is the one.
  4. So does anyone want to sell their twe ea82 header? I want one.
  5. It is on the drivers side lower radiator hose right below the timing belt plastic. You should be able to replace it in under 10 minutes tops.
  6. That's ok on the carb. Just send it whenever. I am actually finishing up some side projects I have so your timing is going to work out good for me.
  7. Good for you! Don't give up. Glad to hear you may have found the problem.
  8. Not bad at all. Got a mod list for your sti?
  9. Cool build up. I like the mock up. What other mods do you plan on doing?
  10. I think it will work with your brat being auto the main difference is your auto trans cross member. You can do a manual swap, and it really isn't all that bad. I have a '84 ea81t coupe that started out life as an auto but soon grew into its 5 speed d/r trans thanks to Jerry's kit.
  11. Ya just the carb is all I need. I am sending you a pm with address now.
  12. Cool, I don't know about you but I like underwater basket weaving while reading a book.:-p
  13. Connie just send me your weber. No worries , I have plenty of extra stuff to get you going. I am thinking something could have gotten plugged up somehow.
  14. I agree digi dashes are really cool when working properly. The one I have in my turbo coupe was out of a higher mileage 2wd coupe also. Don't know why some stay working and some don't.
  15. What kind of subie you working on? There are a few different locations depending on your car type.
  16. Cool pictures. That being said with the hydro cam is why I send the hydro cam blank out to get reground with the solid lifters because there is more material there. I am going to use a hydro cam with solid lifters in my ea81t in a hydro block.
  17. I would change the pcv valve first and see if that helps. Do a compression check as well on it. I just bought an '89 justy myself.
  18. Wow that red mud is beautiful! Looks like your car did well.
  19. I would buy one. I used some universal sealer on the window for now on mine but I would like the real thing instead since I am currently rebuilding the engine.
  20. Not a big problem with the abs light. Mine on my tleg did that today a bit. Most likely it will go away when you drive on dry ground again after the snow melts. Lots of snow today in colorado.
  21. No problem, that is even easier to diagnose then. If it were my car the next step I would take would be to add some motor flush type addative to the oil and try to flush some of the gunk out of it and maybe that would help things out. I would just add the motor flush and let it sit idle for up to 30 min. running and drain the oil and then add fresh. The other thing it could be if that doesn't help and it should is your valve stem seals are allowing oil to leak by. That is what I would do. Just my .02c:)
