  1. Have him contact Colorado Component Rebuilders. CCR for short. 303-293-9230.
  2. I saw that as well. Very cool history of that old brat!
  3. Mick if you plan on keeping the ea71 and may want a dual carb setup for it keep me in mind. I have a good lead on one right now.
  4. Stock td04 turbo? Doesn't sound that bad if it is the stock turbo. Do you have any pictures?
  5. Cant wait to see your next update on this car! But one thing.... Keep the pushrod motor don't give up on it! (Pushrod motor whisperer)
  6. Ej22 carb conversions are doable. There is a bit more info for you on that sort of thing on some of the homebuilt light aircraft boards you may want to check.
  7. Quite a few of the aircraft guys with subie swaps powder coat their blocks. I don't see any reason not to paint it with your favorite high temp paint.
  8. Hey VWIan I would be glad to help out on this project plus I am local. Give me a holler if you could use a extra hand in things.
  9. Pretty straight forward on those cars. Look for rust in the fenders ect. Also check the carb for any leaky seals but that is to be expected a bit for a near 30 year old car. The windshield can be cleaned with tolulene.(Not sure if I spelled that right.)
  10. For power in that rpm range I would say 2.25" to 2.5" or 60-65mm pipe diameter. My brother and I put a full 2.5" exhaust from the turbo back on out ea81t coupe and that is about the right rpm level that we got as well.
  11. Crikey! I will have to look for that one in my travels!
  12. Ya Alaska dude! What plate is that on your ea82 wagon? Never saw that one when I lived up there.
  13. Go for the grippy act clutch for the justy and also get your cam reground by delta for a torque grind. That sould be a start. Or start by adding some really cool stickers cause they add 10hp each!
  14. Yep I bought a couple from him! I got problems please help!
  15. Hopefully I am locked in? I called yesterday. I am shipping that carb and extra cam out today.
  16. Something may have popped loose inside your instrument display for your odometer. I believe it is gear driven off of the speedo shaft. You may be better off replacing your dash piece.
  17. I have made several sets out of the cut to size v8 kit from msd. They are 8.5mm and so far they have been terrific. If you want me to make you a set just let me know.
  18. I was curious if there are any shift linkage bushings available from superpro or anything similar? Interested to see if anyone out there has made their shifter on their 5spd d/r trans feel rally car tight?
  19. Ouch! I am glad you didn't end up going off the road unintensionally.:-\
  20. I will try and find you one Russ. I just went over this same deal with another guy and his tleg maf. I think I can find you one. I should be able to let you know in a couple days.
  21. There are a few gen 1 brats at the yards around here that have complete carbs on them. Let me know if you want me to pull one for you. Or if you want to convert yours over to a weber I could help you there also. I have a spare ea71 intake as well if you need that.
  22. Update on this dual carb motor? Sell it to me!
