  1. Another decent one is located off of santa fe and oxford and it is a pretty large yard that you can meandre along and look through. Colorado auto parts.
  2. Blast ye skalewags I cannot make it. A new exhaust awaits the wifes wrx.
  3. Thanks Mick I guess I missed that bit of vital info.
  4. There are a couple things you can do. The first I did on my old carbie hatch was get some berrymans fuel cleaner and dump it in the tank. The whole bottle with about half full of fuel and run it till it is nearly empty. You can use seafoam also for that. Another good idea is pour seafoam down the carb till it dies or sputters out and that will clean it up quite a bit. Also if all else fails pour a couple bottles of "heat in with your gas when you go back for emissions. Heat is mainly alchohol and will make your car run cleaner when going through emissions.
  5. It looks just as good if not better in person. Way to go Jay!
  6. Another thought with that "droning" noise in mind can be determined by the pipe wall thickness. Thinner pipe wall will resonate differently than that of a thicker wall stuff. Just something to think about.
  7. Most of the time a resonator is placed about midway on the exhaust pipe to help with what you have described.
  8. That is way cool Max. That cave shot is priceless!:-p
  9. It most likely oil "coking" from getting hot and coming in contact with the metal surfaces. Nothing to worry about cause it happens to any type of vehicle you will ever work on.
  10. I've used BG lsd addative along with royal purple synthetic gear oil and had great luck with it.
  11. Really cool to see the progress on this project. Keep it up!
  12. Happy birthday man! I hope you had a great day! Cheers!
  13. Maybe I am ignorant but could you describe what you are working on? If you mean the 1/2 moon pieces by the cams then I believe you put them in place with some good permatex sealant around the edges.
  14. Revive. Who has some new info?
  15. That would be a nice project with some good gains I think. I have never done it to a ea81t but I have thought very seriously about it. I would suggest looking at some of the vw bug motor mods that some have done while converting the old carb motors over for drag racing with fuel injection. I will post if I find any good places to start from.
  16. I just put in a set of ngk iridium plugs in my '92 turbo legacy and they are said to last quite a while even though they cost a little bit more.
  17. Cool Eric, I am glad to hear you are around and hopefully doing well. Do some fishing while you are there.
  18. Yes they are! They are almost as nostalgic as a cyclops light when it comes to old subies.
  19. Ya that would be a good place to start.
  20. Is it the hitachi carb type or is it the carter weber?
  21. accelerator pump or mid range jet/main is plugged.
  22. I wonder if it is an external cause (outside of the dash unit) that is making these burn up? Maybe needs a better inline voltage regulator or something? Just a thought.
  23. Looks like a smaller fmic in the tmic spot. Very fun looking car.
