brush guard question
I agree with Mick. The front tabs on either side lead me to believe the same thing.

Just checking in...
Glad to hear someone is going to go a little nuts on one of those! Fun project I imagine. If you decide to do a turbo on that little motor let me know cause I have a vw tdi intercooler that would go perfect on the little 3cly.

Heated power legacy seats in 87 GL
Me too! I think those seats look really comfy! Probly the softest seats in a lifted rig? Maybe. Very nice Phil.

STi seats into '87 RX
Nice Russ! The fitment of your sti seats looks pretty similar to my wrx seats in my hatch. I know that after you have the seats in there it will be like driving a completely different car.

CO peeps! Feb 23 BBQ!
Idaho springs is cool but my hatch being lifted and still carb betrayted will never make it but good idea.

What plug wires to get....
Jerry DeMoss replied to mcbrat's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXMick I would suggest buying a msd build it yourself wire kit. I did that for my hatch and they are great and then you can make them whatever length you want. Usually only come in a v8 kit though. Besides you could make another and sell it.

1977 1600 wagon found
I don't see why not. You would just have to cut the front area by the side of the heads to make more room. Fun project indeed!

Installing Fuel Pressure Gauge and RRFPR, EA81T
Tell me more please! I am intently listening. The little ea81t turbo coupe is smiling as well.

Hatch with tracks!
I would love to have a set of tracks like that!

Best Aftermarket Fuel Pump for Brat
Well let me tell you after my own experimentation that the stock unit direct from subaru is way better than wasting your time with an aftermarket one. I thought it would be a good idea to try a purolator or similar pump since they are about half the price of a new subaru fuel pump for carbed engines.....but it wasn't but another day that it completely stopped working. I tried one more with the same results. I have had a brand new from the dealer subaru carbed fuel pump on my hatch now for about a year and I have never been happier. I am sure there are others with similar results but it is much better to get a good one than to get stranded somewhere. Lesson learned for me and I just thought I would share.

Girlfrinds first engine rebuild "REDNECK ISH" ((()()()(new pics last paig()()()((()()
That is really cool that your gf let you guys rebuild it indoors! My wife would not allow that. I tried carb center peice on the table once and that didn't go over well even though it was pretty. The big question is: Will the motor fit through the door way?

Cooper 205/60/13 tire question!
I have looked at those as well. I think you should be able to tuck those in there without much trouble.

Merry Christmas To All ! ! ! Camshafts
How about a ea81t camshaft? I am assuming about the same grind may bring close to that result?

upgrade for bottom end
Jerry DeMoss replied to dude_4_sale's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXCams I would suggest checking out delta cams that do regrinds. They do some good work. There is quite a bit you can do to those motors you will have to look on some of the impreza boards or legacy boards to learn more most likely.

Where to find throttle gasket
I believe it had the IAC gasket also. I got my kit directly from subaru. I would not recomend anything less than direct from subaru. I know the dealer there in Anchorage should have that one. I used to get a few parts from them right on the edge of town.

Where to find throttle gasket
I got one in a kit I got not too long ago. The easiest way to get what you need is to buy a Spfi gasket/overhaul kit. Not very expensive.
