2013 Summer offroading whats eveyone up to?

Featured Replies

seems pretty quiet here in the Offroad Section,  whats everyone up to?  any offroading adventures?  what ya building of rebuilding?  , got any good stories?

well Ill start, haven't been doing much as far as offroad, did have a EJ refreshed with new HGS and delta low torx cams, got that in my unfinished shortened Buggy, it has 29" TSLs  , been building a Model A Ford modified track roadster, did the Cherokee thing over the winter, that thing went places the Improved Subaru  would never go, well what you guys been doin? post em up show us some Images.

if i can find some spare cash or come across a decent clunker to fix up and then upgrade, then maybe some exploration in my wagon once its not a daily. im new to the seattle area, and cant wait to tear into some trails... but i have a few other non-offroading projects in the works, so derping around the woods usually takes a backseat.

After I get my wagon lifted hopefully i can take it to the few places in alabama near me that the trucks have completely rutted out. If my outback cant get there, my cj7 should. Hopefully I can get some pictures next time im on the trails.

So far this summer I've put my 90 Legacy on Outback Struts, Stuffed some 27' General Grabber AT2's...yea, be jealous ;).. Sealed up my snorkel, and Hit Larch Mountain a few times. Decent wheeling up there. I'm in Vancouver, WA and i really want to have a Offroad meet up sometime before summer ends. Any ideas on where, and when?

I like Browns Camp in Oregon just across the line , if theres  enuf interest I wouldn't mind going there this summer , went there 2 summers ago with a DRed  Imp.

I've been out three times already, but being that it wasn't in a Subaru, you have to find me talking about it in another forum. Did Evans twice and a bit of the Nachees trail too. Got the winch on the new bumper, am ready for whatever.

I'm in the process of putting my replacement engine for my offroader together. After that I need to re-wire my trailer and pack the wheel bearings on it.Then I will start rounding up fuel for the august trip.Things are going along nicely other than the dead engine in the first place... :)

Been building stuff, and riding.Only been riding a few times so far.Broke some stuff, so I am in the process of fixing it.But my TTR125 mini is doing awesome.

The Subota is coming along well.

And the Hatch is for sale.

cheers

just picked up a 88 gl for 200 and scraped it minus all the parts and the dual range. also just found and bought a 3.7 lsd  and washed it and painted it . now just trying to find some time when im not working to swap a 2.2 in my loyale cause its blown and im not putting another ea into it. so sadly i cant wheel yet :(

hit the "local" spot a couple times since the 4" and lsd went on. looking forward to more

You offroading guys have inspired me to put Forester struts and springs under my Impreza. I hope to be doing that in the next couple of weeks. I also hope I can fit the 215/70/15 tires under there that I already bought. :)

#hammertime?

Now that I moved down south I've been busy taking the lift off the Legacy and swapping it over to Stella.  Still not finished but not much left to do.

Trying to get her done in time for the mid summer run.

i had the outback out at cow mountain for some light offroading  mostly just cruzed the creek bed barried it in some sand did some mild hill climbs camped out was fun saving the heavier stuff for my daily beater

Bethel Ridge and Manastash Ridge...two of my favorite places.  Fun wheeling out there especially in the fall/winter.
