January 29, 201511 yr So, still ticking away at my ej swap and I'm just trying to sort out what I'm going to do as far as my radiator is concerned. All the radiators I have seen over here for the leone are plastic tanked single row things, which makes it hard to add larger ports for the ej hoses, and the two i have currently are in pretty rough shape (leaks and bent fins). The legacy radiator would take a bit more cutting then I think I'm willing to do to install. So as I see it, I could; get a custom radiator (which means getting another custom radiator if it breaks) and spending a fair chunk of coin. Then there's an xt6 wrecking which I could try and get the radiator from, pretty much the same size as ea, large ports, but then the same thing applies if it breaks, cheaper then a custom rad though. Or what I'm leaning to, is the BRZ radiator, roughly the same size as the ea, large ports, easier to fit, potentially better cooling and the advantage that if anything breaks, another brz radiator will bolt in. Now, the downside to the brz (at the moment atleast) i can't source one in NZ (except for one oem with delivery k's for $500) Or an aftermarket one early march. Which lead me to ebay, and this post. Now, since I'm probably going to get it off ebay and if it doesnt work out returns going to be pretty much a waste, if anyone has done it or can recommend a radiator I would like to know more. If no one really pipes up I will probably go with the cheapest brz rad shipped and give it a go with that.Anyway, some i have been looking at (pretty much cheapest on ebay+shipping to nz) Cheapest http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-2013-2015-SU00301172-FITS-SUBARU-BRZ-SCION-FR-S-RADIATOR-1-ROW-/221581932248?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3ABRZ&hash=item33974ff6d8&vxp=mtr Next cheapest (has brand at least) http://www.ebay.com/itm/Radiator-1-Row-Plastic-Tank-Aluminum-Core-CSF-3569-/151562377074?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3ABRZ&hash=item2349d25772&vxp=mtr#shpCntId All aluminum http://www.ebay.com/itm/SICKSPEED-HIGH-PERFORMANCE-ALUMINIUM-RADIATOR-FOR-BRZ-FRS-2012-GT86-FR-S-TOYOTA-/111222456232?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3ABRZ&hash=item19e55fffa8&vxp=mtrCheers for all those that looked Tom

March 22, 201511 yr Do you have any idea what year and model Pulsar that equates to in the US? Try a Nissan Pulsar NX SE (AKA: Nissan EXA) with the CA18DE engine it. (I think) Later turned into the Sentra.
March 23, 201511 yr Author They seem to fit well (from el freddos thread) but have the smaller inlet/outlet like the ea series.
September 4, 20178 yr Does anyone have pictures of this swap. Or the parts necessary to fill and bleed. Have the radiator but a little unsure where to go now figuring out how to fill it!
October 3, 20178 yr If anyone would like to see how i got the factory ea82 radiator to work with the ej swap with flexy hoses and two silicone adapters that are $5 on ebay i will get some pics. 1986 GL Oh yeah and fill the engine through the top hose first is the way i fill with coolant and it has worked well for me Edited October 3, 20178 yr by sparkyboy
December 3, 20196 yr Got pics of your BRZ setup? Just pulled the trigger over black Friday on a Koyo radiator.
December 4, 20196 yr Black Friday... don’t buy anything until this one day of the year! How do retailers do it? Are they really ripping us off that much to make a “surviving”/living?? I think it was @snofool that runs this setup and has pics in his build thread. Looks like a very near setup! Cheers Bennie
December 4, 20196 yr Looks like he eventually swapped back to the OEM GL radiator after some overheating issues.
December 31, 20196 yr Just put the BRZ radiator in. It was really easy. Just needed to drill new lower holes, and slot the upper support. You can reuse the lower rubber bumpers too. Haven't got it running yet, needed to order the upper inline filler neck.
