I remember seeing that one on Reuters. Some Palestinian leader was driving around and his car got blown up.

I think you're right, actually for a car that's been blown - up, I think it's in pretty good shape. It looks as though he picked the right kind of car

I wonder if he survived .....

MAn it;s bad enough those darn towel heads (or are they "sheet heads"?") are over there blowing up our boys, but to top it off they use SOOBS grrr that really gets my blood boiling!

is that who i think it is???

...debating level of revenge...;)

well that answered my question

I love those seats! They are my friends, I might save them, but they seem to be in sad shape, so I am thinking they are junk, but I will make a seat shrine....just kidding.

Rick

For sure! They may be your guardian angels!

Here is another upside-down XT. It does not look that bad on the ouside, but the interior look like someone set off a hand grenade in it. Dash, trim, seats and carpet were destroyed. Transmission broken, close to 300K on the clock. I stripped it to a shell and sent it to the big parking lot in the sky.

ouch... I wish I had pics of my EA82 that I grenaded (still ran on three cylinders with a big hole in the block!) but it wasn't as bad as either of those...

my xt did that, piston #2 decided that it wanted to come through the top of the block and punch the ************ out of the intake manifold.... they seem to break in the EXACT place.. mine came apart at 7500rpm or so.. it gave no warning.. it just.. went..

Well, yeah.....i guess 7500 will do that.

it was up there for a while :) it was just a stupid n/a motor with the tick of death that i didnt feel like fixing..

Believe it or not, this thing (scroll down the page a bit) was rescued and almost resurrected... I drove it for a week or so while I was working on my other one. Damned lucky a cop didn't write me a ticket - not for the missing headlight, but for littering!

I've since decided to part it out. Sadly, it was my baby. I actually bought it brand new on 8/8/89. My favorite car ever. had less than 100K on it. Oh well, two more in the driveway while I part out this one.

***Warning this may be too intense for younger viewers***

I have a hard time even looking at this horrible picture.

The "Yellow Sub" at the end of the line...

I used a sawzall and took the engine out the front

yep that looks about the same as when I took apart a 83 that I was given lol but I didn't use a sawsall but a air chisel
