Super swamper tires which ones are you running . why did you pick that size and model.and how do they preform .Im in the market just not sure which ones to get . got any close up pictures of them mounted on your Ruu thanks Scott

Well with our 4x3 and 4x4 inch lift we can run 29" super swamper tsl's comfortably with minimal fender trimming. There two benefits to this size one they fit with minimal trimming (as said before) and two they work well with the underpowered EA 82 motor with dual range.

28/8.5/14 TSL. Awesome!!!! I'm on my second set. Kinda tough on the EA81, but she can still go. Puts the speedo 20% off. Here's a little taste.......

SSR-02R 27x9.50R14LT Actual Diameter: 27.5

There radials so they don't get flat spots,

this is on the 88, with the 3/3 Ozified lift.

Super Swamper TSL's 28 x 8.5 14LT I don't know why I chose them, I remember looking at LOTS of tires before I got them and I guess I just ended up with them.

They're awesome! I haven't had any problems with them other than they are a smidge big for the ea81. But with a weber I'm sure I could pull it off quite qell.

what rim are you using? how wide is the rim ., I see on that tire they recomend the 6.5-8.5 wide rim SJR

I'm using the Peugeot 14x6 wheel, i don't air down, but i've never popped a bead yet, knock wood.

I run 28" SSR TSL's on my 14" Peugeot rims. Rims are 14x6 I believe.

Bias Ply flexes better, but with as much street driving I do, I decided a radial would be better suited for me. Which has turned out good. I try to air down a little bit, but not a lot, when on the trail.

I've lost one tire to a puncture, hit a sharp rock and got a jagged tear about the size of my thumb in it. (this is why I air down now, I was running at like 36psi)

those SSR's are the greatest tires ever.

well not on ice, but other than that they are the best.

I promise, you will love them.

So Scott, tell us why YOU chose the SSRs, inquiring mind want to know!

gearing for one thing, dint want to go bigger then 27 "

wanted a radial for quieter ride and on road traction

I like the side wall grippies

Super Swamper has thee most agressive tread in that small a tire

I live in the Northwest where most the offroading will include Mud

These tires will most likely end up on my Ultimate Offroader which will be a towed/trailered rig, maybe go with some Kuhmos on the Tow/Daily driver Turbo rig

man, that thing is gona get muddie fast! whats the off-set on those rims? looks mean though!did you get them siped?

Gone:( My 1981 Ea81 Gl With 4 Speed Hi And Lo And Dual T-case 6 Inch Lift:32x11.50 Tsl Sx Swampers, Y They Were $50 Used And Wanted Bigger Than 29's

Maybe you should get some super swampers then maybe just maybe you would like mud more.:brow:

It has nothing to do with the tires.

Super Sweampers work great on the rocks too.

I like driving on rocks more than mud; personal preference.

I tend to disagree on that one. If you had mud terrains I don't think you woulda got stuck here. Mainly because I went through some mud a while ago that was just as thick as that mud and none of my wheels were on dry dirt.

morgan doesn't hate mud because he get's stuck in it ;), HE just doesn't like getting dirty, he really is better off with A/T's, not to mention the fact that you have to drive for hours at freeway speeds to get to any trails here.

i dont blame him for hating mud, its a but head trying to clean it all off once the fun is over. for me, i have to drive 3 minutes to go play in mud over my hood. lol
