Its not World Rally Cross is it?

Wanabee RX:lol:

HA HA HA HA HAA!!!!! late night laugh at work, thanks!

Yep, World Rally Cross.

Either that, or it's the Australian spelling for "Rex" ;)

How do you pronounce it: Dubbleyou are eks?I had an Aussie telling me about the new "Wahrex" a few years back. Is this an Aussie/Euro pronunciation thing?

Juan

Judging from all the ones that rich local kids have totalled around here, it's pronounced (and means) 'wrecks'.

have to agree with that one

It clearly is not meant to be an acronym - it is an initialism. both are forms of abreviation. By definition, acronyms are pronounceable and often words (not always) which already have a meaning.

NASA is an acronym

NAACP is an initialism

I've been finding that sometimes I get really lazy with pronouncing WRX and it comes out more like "dubbleyareks". Weird that I was just thinking about that before I saw this thread. Maybe even weirder that I was thinking about it at all... :-\

Are you sure about Cross?

I always thought it was World Rally Xperimental.

I could be wrong though...
