There is a 12" rim in 4x130, its on the back of a japanese mazda bongo/ford econovan light commercial van that was fitted with dual rear tyres. Approx 1984-1990. The rims are 12"x4" wide and quite offset of course, being dual wheel. If you widen them by 4" you get a 12"x8" rim thats very sturdy and stops just shy of the caliper on subie. Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer 84 GL Mad Max 01 Forester OY MY!! now this has got me thinking...I take my gl wagon to Baja for a few weeks each winter to chase surf and have to go to the well known spots with reasonable access and sometimes crowds BUT with a extra set of wheels/tires I turn the wagon into a "sand no trouble atv" and go to another spot with a friend or 2 that doesn't have the great access!!! yeah baby!! Scott in Bellingham Posted January 27, 2006 Share Posted January 27, 2006 heres a set I rigged up they are 12" rims outer from a lawn tractor , with stock car rim centers heres the tire I got 23x10.50-12 Ag Lug they really go I wouldnt hesitate putting a fell set on a subaru, we took this machine to the sand dunes , goes great , is lacking on steep hills as its only front wheel drive the lawn tractor rim is lacking as it has no bead lock ridge so you cant air down much , Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Too much pressure plus a tire thats not supposed to take that much plus the addition of the weight which is going to be over the load capacity of the tire equals lots of BOOOOOM!!!! Sweet82 runs avt tires on custom wheels, but his buggy weighs a fraction of a full subie. It looks like he put those wheels on his wagon, but probalby just for test fittin, and pics.
