Ok, so I know there is a thread already started about this, but I'm wondering how many people are actually interested. I was talking with my sponsor a few weeks ago and he said he could have them (or anything you want) made if he could get an order of 10-100. I'm not trying to hijack the other thread, but I thought there was little interest (less than 10) in CF hoods with a WRX scoop. So assuming the price is affordable and reasonable how many people are interested? If you are please post at the bottom of your replay:

i'd be interised in one for an xt some other people i know might also be interisted but i need to know a price before i say interisted

Depends on what you mean by affordable? Are we talking under a hundred bucks? Or maybe upwards of $300-$500?

I could go for an XT Turbo hood, but it'd have to be really cheap and still maintain the stock hood scoop (I love the look of it)

 

I guess since this seems to be for EA82s that won't happen

can you post rates? Like cost each per quantity sold?

I'd go ffor a 87.5 xt turbo hood with the stock scoop... and maybe some light covers too.... I might go for an ea82 hood... depending on price..... and affordable is relative here, most of us paid less then $1k for the car, so.... yeah

the problem with the hood scoop is these cars came non-intercooled. so the ic'ed people who want the scoop for the functionality wont necessarily get good airflow through the ic due to a wide variety of intercoolers and plumbing.

intrested myself. but price is going to be the only thing to hold me back. if it is over lets say 400 then it is to much for what i paid for the car. but hell yeah and a possible trunk lid as well. hhmm carbon fiber.

Very interested in a hood with a scoop or spot for a wrk scoop to be mounted for an EA82.

I'd take a EA82 hood with a section from an WRX/STi hood where the scoop bolts to it sinec I'm in the process of getting a carbon fiber STi scoop. I should have my stock hood almost done with the said insert in it and boostbuddy can use it as a mold if needed.

put me down for a carbon fiber ea82t hood with hood scoop hole or hoodscoop in. would be nice if it was yellow kevlar carbon hybrid

I doubt this will ever go through. The Korean fell through on buying a turbo wagon.

well, nobody's going to commit without knowing prices anyway.

id be down depending on price. but yeah, its seems to have been a long time with no news on the progress of the hoods.

I personally think the hood scoop from the FC RX-7 Turbo 2 would be the best choice for a scoop on turbo cars. To me it feels like it blends in the most with the rest of how the 80's subarus looked like. I remembe a person on the board with one on a rally RX and it looks quite nice . Heres an image for reference. Notice how its bolted on? Wonder if those who make the hood could sell the scoop seperate

 

I'd be interested in one for the EA81 if it were below $300 or so, but with such a low demand, I doubt that we can reach that price.

Like I said, I seriously doubt the Korean is going to do anything about this now. He never did, and now will probably never own the turbo wagon he wanted this for. Plus, any CF Hood would be too expensive for most of us who paid a few hundred dollars for their car to ever purchase.

 

At this point, you'd be best off finding someone who could make one, and starting a new group buy.

I would take one of these and would pay $500 or so dollars for it. I would also prefer it to come with a hood scoop.
