January 9, 200719 yr Bushwhacker Samurai flares, they have the gas door cutout and all. Will prolly be a close fit to our soobs. Or you could use that garden edging...
January 9, 200719 yr http://www.pickupspecialties.com/Flexy_flares.htm the 2 1/4" should be about the right size for 30's depending on offset mine were 50mm and work a treat heres an idea can sorta see what the width is like here.. bad pix i know... but they were pulled of a vid camera
January 10, 200719 yr Or you could go the cheap, redneck route and use garden edging like me. Whatever works! I think it's a great idea.
January 10, 200719 yr Author Personally, I think it's kind of sweet having loads of rubber hanging out the side...I mean, aside from the obvious law-breakage, it's kind of cool. Your mud-flingability factor goes waaaay up. Im not to interested in getting a ticket, will have to check out that garden edgeing
January 11, 200719 yr that's probably what i'll be using on lil' roo when i move back to washington... cheap garden edging... down here they don't really care... and same with the yota. but i'm going to have to figure a way to remove it while on the trail. some sort of quick release.
January 19, 200719 yr It looks like....................................................garden edging:rolleyes:
January 19, 200719 yr It looks like....................................................garden edging:rolleyes: Looks more like the proper 4WD flairing rubber with wire insert to me (don't know if you US guys get that stuff..)
January 19, 200719 yr those are nice....what they made of? they are proper 4wd flaring. you can get them by the metter at rubber shops. thes ones without wire insert. I also added another strip of plain rubber to widden the mud flaps cause I like the stock ones
January 19, 200719 yr Looks more like the proper 4WD flairing rubber with wire insert to me (don't know if you US guys get that stuff..) That's what i have on my hatch.......... Just need to make sure you get it screwed in to solid metal. Later, Tim
January 20, 200719 yr Where did you get yours Tim? Does it really come in a roll? Ok for your tires, but that wouldnt work for mine.
January 20, 200719 yr ^^^I picked it up at a custom truck parts shop, it was four individual strips and I just put it on and cut to where I wanted it to end on the bottems. The wire is very tough, I broke my favorite dykes on it. Ended up using a cut off wheel:headbang:
February 1, 200719 yr damn only took forever to get these posted...they are off of a jetta Looks pretty good. Nice and clean
February 2, 200719 yr i'll have to go with what rob has when i move back or risk the ticket. cause mine stick out over 4 inches... :-\
February 2, 200719 yr 4in DANG! sound like garden edge is the way for you. and yes they would look good on a rx! i had to use a dremel to modify the edge around the door and around the lower trim but over all they work great
