December 18, 200718 yr My, I dunno, 10th hatch? Whatever. Craigslist find. The right price. If 22b wants it for Australia, it's his. If not: It goes to the cabin to be part of the fun when we go out there. It's as nice as the pics show, couple pretty minor issues. nice butt. nice lines left right lookin' good The ugly part. lol
December 18, 200718 yr Wanna trade? I'll soon have a '89 4runner in need of a 3.0 and an auto tranny but its in good shape and has the removable top!:-p
December 18, 200718 yr If not: It goes to the cabin to be part of the fun when we go out there. Any plans for a trip, looks like the ferry is gone
December 18, 200718 yr there's an ugly part? it all looks gorgeous to me! maybe you forgot to post the picture of the rust.
December 18, 200718 yr Have I ever mentioned how much I hate all of you up in the PNW?? Nice find! I don't think I've EVER seen a hatch on the road down here in MO at all...
December 18, 200718 yr there's an ugly part? it all looks gorgeous to me! maybe you forgot to post the picture of the rust. That was my exact first thought. That would be concidered "rust free" out here . Tim
December 18, 200718 yr Author That's about as bad as rust problem as any I've ever seen on one of mine. "Bob" had been used to haul salt at a ski resort so had a few issues in the bed, another had been left sitting in tall grass for a few years so the rockers were hurting pretty bad. This will make a fine donor for my Brat's needed fenders and door and maybe the hood. After those are on, it will be pretty friggin' pristine and ready to paint. Throw the Brat's fenders on it, a can or 10 of cammo green, and off to the cabin.
December 18, 200718 yr that's only a bit worse than my loyale....which I consider virtually pristine. good find (well...maybe not for your part of the world....but I'm jealous!)
December 20, 200718 yr Good man Zap! Lets hope 22B sees this. SOLD !!! That is the exact one I need... with the plastic front and rear bumpers Thanks Heaps Eric Please email me when you have seen the title. Sorry to anyone else that is interested but I have been searching for a very long time to get my little hatch back on the road and this hatch will finally make this happen
December 20, 200718 yr Author I'll put it in my name, the title process should take 6-8 weeks. I think it would be easiest for you if I was signing a title over to you, rather than using paperwork to confuse the officials here and there when it comes to shipping time. Hopefully I'll possess it this weekend and can take more better pictures.
December 21, 200718 yr That's great news... Thanks Eric I would like, if possible I like to have some pics of the inside, cheers. I'm going to need Chassis Number and Engine Number as soon as possible, as I need to get approval from the Australian Imports Vehicle Approval Department (Govt Sh*t) done before the car is sent from the States
December 22, 200718 yr WOW I have never seen that happen on the board before. Now what rare beastie are you sending across the pond this direction!

December 22, 200718 yr WOW I have never seen that happen on the board before. Now what rare beastie are you sending across the pond this direction! I hope it's a crate full of EJ D/R tranny cases
December 30, 200718 yr Hey Eric... Sorry if I'm a little early but have you had a chance to take some more pics??
December 30, 200718 yr Author Still waiting. His son had a baby day after Xmas. The car is in his son's name, so they have to go to the DMV to get paperwork for a lost title so I can get one for it. I told him to wait till after the Holidays, I understand how having a newborn can really put a wrench in the works. Sorry.
December 31, 200718 yr Hey Eric... don't be sorry, Im just really happy you found 1 for me. I have waited 4 years to get mine back on the road, so I'm in no hurry, just excited
January 6, 200818 yr Author OK, got it home. Paid him 25 bucks for gas, he threw it on his dolly and hauled it @35 miles to my place. What a beauty in the daylight. It's in almost perfect condition for having 206k miles on it. Here's some pics. It's been sitting, so it's a little damp inside, hence the foggy windows. No smell though. pheewww. The sunroof doesn't leak!
January 6, 200818 yr It looks identical to my very first Subaru, same color and everything except mine was a 2wd 5-speed, not 4wd even though I wish it woulda been. Mine also was two different colors, silver and rust:dead:
January 7, 200818 yr Author obviously building another wheeler i see. god job on the find.cheers, brian Ya know, I'd really like to build another. Just to do it. Most likely I'll ship it to AU. There's a shortage of hatches there. It's got working AC too.
