  7. i have an Ea81 block downstairs that ive been working on for a while and it was time to wriggle the oil pump off. well i was making good progress on removing the oil pump and i heard it break free and i thought to myself "yes"!!!!!!! but i really just broke it in half and i dont know how to get the other half out. im splitting the case and 86bratman said that the remains inside the block should just slip out. should it? (by the way i was using a rubber mallet)
  8. hell yeah that the way to do it
  9. nope 2 hours with an extractor got it tho......
  10. i got the front wheels off right now and i wanted to fix some thing....trouble is that i dont know what or how to fix it.first of all my steering is really touchy(power steering Ea81) and i was wondering if that has anything to do with arms, tie rods ..whatever. next i have a set of new brake shoes and i have some pads that will work....how to change the front brakes? and just further imput on adjusting the valves(just did an oil change) i have an adjuster tool too...thanks -Dalton

ill have to get back to you on that one. it would probably be a good lift for you tho since its mild(2 in or so) im gonna start building a big lift and sell the wagon and look for something i really want.

...to remove my lift.(1984 wagon, Ea81, and this is the original pk mobile)...i will be working on it shortly, i just want to know a couple of things....i pretty much understand the rear except for something about a diff drop plate? where is this and how do i remove it? and for the front should i just pick up the motor and tranny at once(not take it out just unbolt and pick up an inch or so) remove the blocks and drop it back in? i have power steering and the shaft doesnt look to be extended so is this just a new steering shaft that byb makes for there kit? or did pk just do this in his early kits?....as for the struts i think thats good too. thanks for any tips -D
  19. since all ej parts are mostly interchangeable, could you build a ej18TT using ej20H stuff? are the pistons interchangable?...and anybody heard of a twin supercharged ea/ej?
  20. yeah dude the duel core radiators work pretty good. im still only running one fan and my car rarely ever gets hot enough to shut her down. they are pretty effective
  21. well this seems to be the thread to talk on so im gonna ask some questions..... the mounts that you make to hold the case and the diff. placed up front, are those welded to the frame or body? or are they just seperate mounts that bolt on?... oh and if i use a samari t case do i use the stick mount from it?
  22. well be jealous poeple cuz i saw this beast in person this weekend down in FT. BRAGG CA. i was driving up highway 1 and off to the side of the road....i saw it,,, and it is way bigger in person
