  1. Anyone going? I won't be driving my RS but riding navigator in my buddy's 02 WRX .
  2. Lets see some pictures when you get done. I just got done putting Optilux XY yellows in my RS fogs along with yellow film.
  3. I still see a lot of them being used for rural mail routes. Be even cooler if you put a 5 speed in it.
  4. Fixed the fog light indicator on my RS. The button lit up but the indicator was burned out. Also installed my rear WRX seats. When I pulled the RS seats out there was several church pamphlets from the First Baptist Church in Nashville Georgia. Went ahead and vacuumed her out while all the seats were out.
  5. I will be the first to welcome our head gasket overlords. They been keeping the Subaru service department in business since 1996.
  6. Good to hear. Got any pictures of it? I know its a 98 or 99 coupe from the MAF.
  7. Awesome man. We need to see some more pictures of that thing.
  8. 00-01 2.5RS engines are the same. The 99 RS/Forester is the same except for the 99 has MAF where as the 00-01 is MAP sensor based.
  9. You might get luck with another similar key. The key to my 91 Legacy started an 85 BRAT I test drove once when the owner forgot the key at work.
  10. Yellow fog light tint and bulbs. Also installed some 03 WRX seats into my RS. Traded even for them too.
  11. Is the old one dry rotted or have any big cracks? You might consider calling the dealer and seeing if they can source you a gasket. But who knows how long the Subaru one has been sitting on a shelf in a warehouse. Does it leak water?
  12. I had to swap gauge clusters from the 240k+ in my brat to a 75k to fix the sticking tach issue.
  13. Don't be surprised when your head gaskets go in a few months. Don't want to burst your bubble but the EA82T is by far one of the worst Subaru engines made.
  14. I found that leaving my vents on "fresh" keeps things from fogging up. This is also covered in the manual.
  15. Not that I recommend doing this but, you can tap on the MAF with the handle of a screwdriver and see if the idle changes. If you do go to the junk yard for a MAF, make sure and leave the upper portion of the air box on. This makes for a quick swap in the junk yard parking lot. My mechanic also told me to make sure the part numbers match up on them, not sure if the auto got a different one from the 5 speed.
  16. I had the same problem with my old 91 a few years ago. Was also throwing a code 23, replaced the MAF and was good to go. Here is my old thread: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=83464
  17. I too tried the anti-fouler trick to fix my P0420. I was getting it every few days and it would go off for a few. I had my buddy install the anti-fouler when he had it doing my head gaskets. He said he was only able to get one fouler on there instead of the needed two. Now my light is on a lot more.
  18. We got a good 4 inches here between 11pm-4am CST. Ole RS does amazing in the snow. I love getting looks when passing people uphill.
