  1. Make sure and get the thermostat gasket too from the dealer.
  2. Remember that your best bet for a clutch cable is not with a parts store but with your Subaru parts counter.
  3. If going with a RS or WRX rear brake setup, go ahead and get the H6 rear brakes as they are the popular choice. http://www.rs25.com/forums/f105/t64473-diy-h6-rear-rotors-brackets.html
  4. Yeah, I got that. Wasn't sure if one could be used from an earlier 4WD wagon or not.
  5. My buddy is working on a cherry Gen 1 BRAT, it is in need of a fuel tank. What other models' fuel tanks will work with this BRAT?
  6. Bratman? Shannon from Virginia?
  7. Seriously. That car, with gold enkies, is pure sex.
  8. Thank you. My first step toward automotive journalism.
  9. This is your best answer. But you're going to do whatever you want.
  10. Yep, order one from there and send that POS back to CarQuest.
  11. +2 I made the mistake of buying Auto Zone rotors to replace my warped ones on my RS. The Auto Zone rotors were warped when I installed them and then had to have them turned. I could've got OEM rotors after all was said and done.
  12. I would get my rotors from Subaru but you could get some higher performance pads to put on there. The common pads to go with on the WRX's are Hawk HPS brakes. If you are mechanically inclined you can save yourself a crap ton of money by doing the install yourself. This is a great place to buy OEM Subaru parts: https://www.subarugenuineparts.com/oe_parts_cat.html
  13. I submitted a synopsis of my trip to the 100 Acre Wood rally. They were nice enough to put my on the news and events section. http://www.duffsubaru.com/news-and-upcoming-events.htm Here are some more pictures of the rally:
  14. Just going to warn you if you post those anywhere else, you WILL get flamed. Now that you have them installed, you need to adjust them properly if you haven't already. They will need to be aimed quite a bit downward. You will also probably be getting bright-lighted by people too. I had HIDs in my car for two weeks and the people flashing their high beams got really annoying so I sent them back. Not to mention that I had a non-functioning high beam. I have heard good things about DDM and are good about standing by their product.
  15. The catless up-pipe is a great idea. Do you know if they checked the intake side of the turbo or the exhaust one? I had ruled out the cat in the up-pipe disintegrating when you said the turbo had shaft play.
  16. I checked that the other day. Couldn't really find anything saying that it would work with my gen Impreza.
  17. Anyone know if a GD series Impreza keyless fob can be programmed for a 2000 2.5RS?
  18. You might be able to source a turbo for sale on http://www.nasioc.com They have a section dedicated to Bajas in general with stuff for sale. Maybe someone has a cheap turbo laying around since they are common to be upgraded to the VF series.
  19. Durania replied to bratman18's topic in Members Rides
They have really helped in snow and rain at night.
  20. Did you change your turn signal fluid?
