  1. I met a few people at Carlisle in 2004. I don't recall most of them.
  2. The only reason I let my carwarm up more than a minute or so is because I don't want to get out and scrape snow or ice off the window :-P I let it run like 20 seconds before takeoff usuly..I get my radio set and all that. I try and take it easy until the temp gauge is halfway up. I redline it once or twice a week, and see the higher RPMs daily
  3. Yeah, I can kick the rump roast end around in mine. I'd love to get a LSD for the back for even more traction.
  4. Are you sure all four wheels will spin? On my mothers 95 Legacy and on my 96 Outback (both manuals) i've never had more than like one back and one front wheel spin at the same time.
  5. 90/10 split...90% of the power goes to the front in automatics. Put the car on jack stands and put it in drive and see if the rear wheels spin.
  6. I try and change mine every 4,000 - 5,000 miles. I'd do it every 3,000 if I had my own garage and didn't have to do it in a gravel lot.
  7. I'd do whatever is cheaper. I might even check a junkyard for a good muffler. If you plan on driving the car for a long time, you might want to check out some of those lifetime gurentee mufflers.
  8. Go to an auto part store and get an engine degreaser...use something specificly for engines.
  9. I got a really nice set of dark grey ones at Sears auto center once. They were like $15 and lasted quite a while and were very durable.
  10. If its anything like my Outback, there is only one tank, and it gives fluid to the front and the back...but when the fluid level is below like 3/8 of the way full, no fluid goes to the back.
  11. Had it happen a few times in deep snow. When there is a lot of snow stuck in the rim and whatnot it does it...when it gets flung out / melts, all is well. Next time take it to a car wash and spray it out or just get a stick and poke at it.
  12. reliable and cheap (although, I don't know about current models) AWD is a big thing...and they are all attractive. (The Baja is sexy)
  13. Thanks for the suggestions. The battery is a 'no maintinence' Carquest brand cheap-o that is 3 or 4 years old. I think i'll replace the battery and alternator belt and see if they helps any. Thanks again.
  14. Sometimes when i'm sitting in traffic or something and I press the brakes, I notice my headlights dim. When I hit the gas and let the engine rev up a bit, they get bright when i'm just sitting there. I had my headlights on with the car not running for like 15 minutes, which drained the battery. New alternator belt? Alternator not working, and needs replaced? Battery not holding a charge to well? Let me know what you folks think, as I am going to be adding some serious driving lights soon and will need all the power I can get. Thanks.
  15. I'd also like to know if anyone likes the ff75s. I got some cheap ones at Autozone that are about that size, but they are some generic brand and their light output is crap.
  16. Even if they only last 50,000 miles i'd be happy. They are $90/each at Sears...so they are not horribly priced.
  17. How did you mount them? I am thinking about getting a pair on my roof rack (I can mount those just fine) and a set on my front bumper. I was thinking about mounting some bracket on the hood, so when I open the hood the lights will go up and be out of the way. Your car looks sweet.
  18. http://www.cnn.com/2005/AUTOS/12/04/iihs_top_safety/index.html The Legacy got Gold for midsizeed cars.
  19. My next tires are going to be Goodyear Assurance Trippletread ones...$90/each from Sears and the ratings on tirerack are great.
  20. It's better not to have one than to have the one in the US models. It is junk, and you'll end up buying a few replacment radios.
  21. I picked up an automotive relay from Radioshack...it seems like it'll be real easy. The lights I got are just some el'cheepos from Advance Auto Parts. I wanted something small and bright...and they seem that they will be good. I want to get some Hella 500s on my bumper and roof rack...but that'll be another day.
  22. Thanks for the help. The kit I got does not have a relay, but i'll look around for one. Thanks again
