  1. I really hope your GPS is working this time, Max. Anyway, you kids have fun. I will be out in Saudi Aurora coaching that day.
  2. Well poo... Connie, I just used Meguire's Tech-wax this go round, but I whole heartedly agree about the claybar. It really helps to clean up and restore the paint finish. The Enkies are 13" by 5.5".
  3. Wow! I have been dying to see this lift. That looks absolutely beautiful!
  4. Had some time to clean up the hatch this past weekend and thought I would share a few pictures. Say hello to "Grover".
  5. A "pop" kinda tells me it is springs, or your endlinks on the swaybar. I would look to see that springs are seated correctly. If they are, then check your rear sway. If the bushings (particularly the OEM links) in the endlinks are going bad, you will also get a sort of popping noise.
  6. Very good! Just don't forget that "easy" ground wire I can't wait to see this thing!
  7. I second the GR2 set up. I just replaced all four on the hatch two weekends ago. You won't regret it.
  8. The Yevils wouldn't be able to attend a darn thing until the 30th or 31st. My coaching gig is getting into full swing...
  9. Alternate them... I prefer the letters out on a taller tire.
  10. I know that the fronts will be 6.5. If there are mounts in the rear doors, they are also 6.5.
  11. The springs look like Kings / Scorpion. Not sure about the rest.
  12. I think either day would work for the Yevils. I can even bring the nitro RC's to tool around with. I have both a Raze and an Associated MGT 8
  13. I so totally agree, but our little wee Max is a fickle bish.
  14. The BFGs are a good tire, Scott. I have a set of 31's on the 4Runner. They look mean, have a decent sidewall, are quiet on the road, and handle the off road stuff pretty well. I have no complaints.
  15. My wife and I recently sold our '97 OBW (aka. "Don", short for Donatello). Just a typical green Outback with 212k to most, but to us, it was the trusty steed that never let us down. The new owner called us about three weeks after he bought it: Don had been rear ended and would most likely be totalled. Admittedly, we were both very sad about it. I don't recall feeling sad about my hondas or other cars when I sold them. My wife coined the phrase "Don isn't dead, he just went to Moab". About a week after, the new Subaru commercial aired. Anyway, that is my short edited story and I like the new ads so far.
  16. '86 hatch 4sp DR: Lil' guy averages about 26-27 mpg around town all the time. I don't know what he will do on a road trip. All I have added is an MSD coil, wires, and a K&N filter (thanks Dr. DeMoss). Prior to doing this, he would get about 23-24 mpg around town.
  17. And clearly, the troopers have way too much time on their hands if they are harassing old subie drivers with nifty bumpers.
  18. Nipper, you are in rare form. I don't even know what to say other than "well played, sir".
  19. Looks like a manual, so I don't know that torque bind will be an issue Certainly ask about the headgaskets. Other than that, it looks lovely. I really like that color
  20. Should be just behind the carb and then down on the backside of the manifold. You can kind of see it in the picture here. At the base of the carb is the manifold. The next thing you see attached to the manifold is the EGR and to the right of that is the PCV. I don't have a mousepaint to circle it though.
