^^^ I agree. The BFG A/Ts don't clean out the sticky mud very well at all. For summer time wheeling, they'll do great. I ran some on a pathfinder I had and really only liked them on the road. You try to take them thru the likes of a muddy Walker Valley and you'll be disappointed.

I prefer my impreza lowered. Or rather lower than a stock obs. I used 98-01 RS springs and plain old KYB GR2 struts. Springs I found used, the struts are pretty cheap on eBay. A 20mm rear sway bar from an early 2002 and up WRX will really change it quite a bit. Then some tires, and you have a pretty sweet sticky car.

I've been running the stock 4.10s with 33s for years. My clutch is fine, but the little 22re has a real hard time pushing them any faster than 65. With your 2.2, you should be fine. 4.56s oughtta do it.

7 bucks to play all day is pretty cheap. The money goes back into the places we play. It's the right thing to do. You can buy a whole year's pass for under 50 bucks I believe.

Just curious Scott. I haven't had a chance to talk with you in quite a while, we need to catch up sometime. @Brain: I dig the idea of a lifted impreza. But after making my silver wagon tall, I looked around and saw my lifted Toy as well as my lifted hatch at the time. Just didn't make sense to keep it tall. So I lowered it an inch and some lower than stock instead. Now it rips corners pretty good, lifts a rear tire it's so tight.

See that basket on top, that was heavy tools and water and stuff. Guess how much lift this one had? None, only 14 inch tires under a stock mobile. 3 or 6 inches of lift on an impreza won't be any kind of noticable difference. What I wanna know is which one of these projects, ie: justy, jeep, outback, or impreza you're gonna follow thru on Scott?

Yep, stronger axles will just break the stubs. Broken stubs can be a real pain to change out because they twist before they break, therefore getting wedged in real good. We had to disassemble the whole diff and reassemble it on the side of the Rubicon when that happened once. This is not a new topic, it is one that I might flame you for though. Don't be so heavy on the gas peddle, know a little more about momentum and how to keep it. In all the years I played out in the dirt with Subarus and welded diffs, I only broke one rear axle. Never did break a front one.

Those things are sooooooooooooooooooooooooo heavy! Approach and departure angles are rediculous. Sell it, use the money to buy nice things for your actual wheelers.

Try changing out the ingitor. Happened to me a couple of times.
