  3. There you go already tring to break it. lol They wheel with the best of them. But it was your wagon that showed my Sammi up at Evans Creek when it was still a weee little Soobie. You made it up a rocky hill climb that I couldn't because of the sammi's short wheelbase. It had a locker even. . .
  4. Are you sure you ran out of has? A broken timing belt will act the same way.
  5. I only get two hours a day to do so. It's getting there Ed.
  6. It would hardly be hidden then would it? You guys do know I'm sitting here shaking my head right? Big old look of disgust on my face.
  7. I hate to give it away before someone figures it out. . . but. IT's not exact. . . but 6 of the pics with blue sky form the Plaides Stars. Look again.
  8. Curious. Does SJR's site have contact info? Try contacting SJR with questions about their lifts.
  9. But it only takes 20 minutes. I just did one last Friday. Breaker bar and ratchet wrench, 14mm socket and wrench, 17mm Socket and wrench, 36mm socket and plyers, 3/16 punch and hammer. A jack and you're set.
  10. Sorry, I'm not driving to Canada to pay 50 bucks to run for 5 minutes. Have a good time guys. But I will see you here:
  11. Me too. But unfortunately, he's splitting with his wife, and that's one of the things he can't keep. He sold it to a guy in SoCal for 2500, sight unseen. The guy just sent money an dhe shipped it off. It was a nice Brat. He offered it to me, but I grabbed my old Brat back from Idaho instead. He should stil have some pretty sweet studded Pirellis on 13s for it still. . . I think he was trying to sell them for 100 bucks. Shoot me a pm if you're interested, I'll give you his contact #.
  12. How about ea81 meet. That way there'd be more than 3 of us. lol Pretty Brat man.
  13. It'll ride like a rock too. Mess up the outside of your tires from the funny camber too. It'll sure pull funny to one side or another when you get on it in 2wd ta boot! Or. lower the back half down a little.
  14. After owning 2 Sammis, one of them locked in the rear, and one of them lifted, and only owning one Toyota. . . The Toyota hands down. Wouldn't ever want to get behind one of those Sammis again. They wheel to beat hell, but they drive down the road "like a piece of plywood." That from a guy who we met on the trail several times in our Soobies. He owned a company that fabbed up fancy off road goodies for Samurais too. A rag top is lame in cold weather, and the box ones would be lame in the Summer. Think about being able to keep up with traffic. Can't do it in a Sammi. Unless you start dumping motor and stuff into it. That 1.3 is pretty gutless. And not very reliable.
  15. Like everytime this vid pops up, I have to comment that it's not a jeep. It's a Toyota.
  16. I knew that guy in highschool. "Ifi Wouldabeen" :-p
  17. Like Ken said, there's really no time to stop and take pics like the old days when someone was always having problems with the obstacles. Now we just roll along at a slow speed untill we decide to stop. . . Get to see a lot of trail that way. But I did get a couple of pozer pics. Ken saw me do it and did it too. Here's how it's done. 3.2 FTW! lol Rob shootin' Ken showin' off. One of the flat, level, boring parts of the trail where we'd pulled off to swill beverages. Rob as we were taking off again.
  18. Quote of the day: "The way Zap took looked like pain. So I took the other way." The guys at the top of the hill were pretty amazed about the time I pulled on up and told them my truck has open diffs. I told Ken at the bottom, 'If you can make it with a welded diff, I can make it open'. Just about ate my words too, that was one hell of a climb. God I love my fuel injection!!!
  19. mm hmm. The tires I have on my impreza for street use are 225/55/17s. They're just barely smaller than my 27 inch swampers. Rim size doesn't matter, it's the tire size.
  20. The speedo on my Brat is on and off. Usually it pegs at about 40 actual miles per hour. But once and a while, it works properly.
  21. Here's one with imp RS wheels and 205/55/16s?
